I hate potting players of any side but.....Jimmy seems to me like a little lap dog , always sniffing around the out side.    I don't think he ever had the confidence to just play the game.   Sort of had an inferiority  complex even at MFC.

I wish him the best but I don't think he can change his personality.

Well that being said he can listen look forward to getting cleaned up by Viney or VB.

Same place the Scully badge went??

Not fair DIITD, $cullduggery was a lying traitor, Jimmy lost confidence with injury and probably won't make it. Good luck Jimmy.

More comparing the location of the badges, not the character traits of the person under discussion.

I imagine one could be implanted rectally the other merely discarded.

I guess what interests me the most was Hinkley's ability to transform Polec into the player he is now. People labelled him a potato at Brisbane but arrived home to SA and killed it.

I remember seeing Polec in his first NAB Cup game at Brisbane and knowing he was going to be a star.

Jimmy and his family are not very complimentary about MFC, and made particular mention to my contact, of Roosy being "not very approachable" and of their boy not getting enough support (Im paraphrasing here as i cant remember the exact words used). Some other stuff i heard make me very comfortable with the decision to trade him.

Not much lost i feel.

I think Ben Kennedy better suits the MFC's current model for player type etc.

I thought we were moving away from the poorly skilled poor decision making VFL midgets :P

I get the sense the club had made it really clear what Jimmy had to improve to get more game time, and he just simply hadn't done it.

Win - win. Toumpas struck me as a really decent individual. I wish him well.

Agree with all. Jimmy hasn't made excuses he came out and said he wasn't competitive enough. I wish him well.

Good on him for getting another go somewhere else.

At the end of the day, Jimmy is scared of the contest, and isn't agile/evasive enough to avoid it. As long as the AFL is a tough sport, Jimmy will struggle to succeed.

Melbourne have built a team of warriors (Viney, Jones, Brayshaw, VDB, Oliver, Hogan, Kent, McDonald, Gawn, Trac,Trengove, Frost, Harmes, Jetta, to name a few), and Jimmy didn't fit.

Seems like a nice fella, so hopefully he does okay.

Again with the 'high standards' at Port.

Really. I know it's lip service this newclub but I'd say the standards at the Dees would be the same. Maybe little Jimmy just didn't know it.

Fmd I'm tired of players blaming anyone but themselves. I don't see Trengove pointing the finger. No, he just took same said finger, extracted it,worked his arse off to get back amongst it.

It's all in your head Toumpas. Enjoy Adelaide, playing state league. It's all your cut for I feel. About your standard Jimmy

It's not lip service - it's mandatory upon arrival -  [Insert new arrivals name] said "I have been really impressed with standards set by the group and this is the hardest preseason I have ever participated in (because I really didn't work hard enough at the club that traded me)."

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
