Should show the team the Marngrook tipping to get them fired up, suggestion of Melbourne getting anywhere close was incomprehensible. I hold some hope, when we are written off and mocked we can sometimes do ok (or follow the narrative exactly). We do always struggle on the games we are expected to win though.

Viv's third opportunity in a row. Needs to step up this week after an improved showing last week. Gonna be tough on the fast deck at Etihad but fingers crossed for the lad.

I think it might be the last roll of the dice for Viv. I think he needs to show something really positive to say that he deserves to be on the list. Myself? I'm not so sure he can do that.

The question now is whether he's a handy depth player moving forward. He couldn't crack into a strong Freo team and has hardly done much better at the MFC, relatively speaking.

If JT and the recruiting team can rustle up one or two more VDB's out of the lower tier comps, I can't see the necessity of keeping players like Viv on the list. Crash and bash with average skill execution seems to be of more value.

Just has not shown enough and is too slow.

I was at training so I can give an eyewitness account.During a match simulation the ball was kicked wide towards the boundary and Hogan and McDonald were both going for the mark. They both went to ground with McDonald underneath Hogan.McDonald didn't get up and called for assistance. His boot came off and was looked at then he walked off the track with just a slight limp. After about ten minutes he came back on and did a bit of light jogging and agility exercises and continued with the rest of the team. From what I could see it didn't look too bad.I was at training last week and vandenberg looked a lot worse.

Ever considered doing pre-season training reports?

So he's the equal of Grimes then?

Totally irrelevant but Id like to know how many games weve actually won there since its inception.....

We had great record until it changed it name to Etihad Stadium. Since then we've won none.

Disappointing re:Salem if true. Funnily enough he was also a late exclusion due to a virus against North at Etihad last year. Must not want to play there!!

Anyone have a breakdown of age and game experience between the 2 sides. Apparently Dogs are the 3rd youngest club in the league, which makes their season even more remarkable.

Can anyone provide an actual source about Salem? Can't find anything at the moment.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
