I take a great deal of interest in the Adelaide Crows and see them as a bit of a second team after the Demons. I think some of you are being a little harsh on Tom Lynch. Yes, we need mids and I am sure that we will get them, but in order to be like a Hawthorn, we need depth in every position. Tom Lynch is an extremely capable Forward and don't forget that we will be adding probably Prestia, Petracca, Trengove, Kent and Frost to our regular 22 next year. I am sure that we will draft in at least 1 mid in the main draft, another in the Rookie Draft and we may well trade for at least one more. Having Lynch frees up Gawn to play as a sole Ruckman.

Maybe lynch and their 2nd round pick for Toumpas and our third round pick... He's only worth our third round pick!

Not sure if serious or taking the pizz.

Lynch is a legitimate mobile key forward who can impact the scoreboard, unlike Dawes. He'd be a perfect fit for Hogan because they both cover the ground and could rotate between CHF and FF. He's a late 1st rounder. Toumpas and our 3rd round pick for him would be a steal.

Crows fans rate him. Talk to any of them and they will tell you about his momster workrate. He is a high half forward and has that ability to work his opponent to the ground because he pushes up into the midfield and becomes an extra on baller. Think a more skilled and taller Ryan O Keefe

O'Keefe is a nice comparison, and that versatile marking medium forward is a staple of Roos coached teams. Can see why we have an interest.

When I get around to breaking down our list later this year, I'm sure the two biggest needs that will present will be another classy ball user for our midfield and a general forward in the Gunston mould. Hard worker with a big tank and a high footy IQ. Lynch would fit that mould nicely and would help us develop that moving parts, diverse functional forward line (Tomlinson another who'd work well). He'd be the taller link player that Jeremy Howe hasn't quite developed into.

Add Lynch and Petracca to our current set up and we would become much more dangerous up forward and would allow Hogan to stay deeper, rather than pushing up quite so much when the ball is in the opponents attacking area. Our second rounder with another asset (player or maybe even our 2016 second rounder) feels about right for Lynch.

Would leave us to acquire that mid we need with our first round pick (either by draft or trade).

Isn't that supposed to be Watts?

Doesn't bode well for Pedersen or Fitzpatrick going after Lynch. I'm struggling a little bit to see how all the talls fit in. Frost is a long term Key Defender according to Roos' mid season review. There wasn't room for him down back in pre-season so they played him up forward. If we got Lynch Frost would have to play down back, and there's no room there unless the club lets Garland walk?

From what I can see Lynch was part of a 3 way trade a few years back involving Maric and a 2nd round pick? He's improved based on this season's stats and is now in his prime playing as a 25 year old next season. Crows would certainly ask for our 2nd round pick which looks like being around 23-25. I'd prefer to see a pick like that used on another midfielder.

He's no where as good a Ryan o'keefe... Hence the saints got rid of him!

I never said he was?

He just plays that same similar style where he pushes up the ground with his huge huge work rate and works back down again. Plus he can kick goals aswell. At 192cm tall who can push up and help out in the midfield and use his versatility is always a bonus.

lets not forget he has only just reached the 50 game mark so he still has alot of potential left

I see Watts playing the Brendan Goddard role and nailing it properly. He has showed he has extreme versatility.

I would think it doesn't bode well for Dawes unless he can make that forward/ruck role his...Frost would still be in the running for that role as well.

Tom Lynch has a huge tank, a massive work-rate, he accumulates marks and possessions, he is a damn good kick for a tall, leads the AFL in score assists and is a scoreboard threat (hence 10 in a game).

He would be a big upgrade on Dawes. He is the prototypical running tall forward.

We would be stupid not to go after him. He and Hogan would be an awesome combination.

Hnmm Interesting Dazzle man I have never rated Goddard coz I reckon he's a very outside receiver, But rate Watts!! Go Figure!??

Having said that, The way Jack Watts is playing he will become a better player than Goddard... in spades!

I recall they also rated Aiden Riley.

Much better player than Bate ever was.

And Bate was handy in his own right

Was he? I dont think he was. He showed early promise but was simply too slow. He was another player who was too good for VFL but not good enough for AFL.

I couldnt believe it when Neeld knocked back the bulldogs secong round pick for him in 2011.

Crows demands will start as Toumpas and our first rounder. If we can negotiate it down to Toumpas and our second rounder for Lynch and their third rounder I'd do it in a heartbeat.

He's a very good player.

Even thats way overs... take our 2nd pick or leave it.

I wouldn't even consider trading Toumpas and our 3rd rounder for Lynch and their second rounder. Let alone throwing our second rounder in WITH Toumpas, that is crazy.

Lynch isn't that good. Toumpas has more upside. He will take time to develop mentally, but when he does, he will be an important player.

toumpas has shown nothing in three seasons on a senior list.

lynch would be the second best tall in our forward line.

Unfortunately that does not say much.

The second best thing on the plate. 1st Steak 2nd - who cares?

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50.
