GAMEDAY - Round 17

Recommended Posts

Great comeback second term keeping them goalless, can't believe we're still in this,a top 6 side would have 15 goals on the board.

Saints pressure definitely dropped off but our kicking is killing us again.

We've got this

Jeez would it hurt to throw Vandenberg in the middle to get him into the game? We drafted him as an inside ball winning machine and the Einsteins think its best to plonk him in the forward line.. unbelievable

Btw this game plan is a bag of horse [censored]

Clearly what we do defensively works.

It's just a shame what we do the other way doesn't.

Jordan Lewis was on the ABC yesterday. Said this EXACT thing. Bad sides have to get defense right, then figure out ways to score. When they get that far then they can think about being more attacking to make the other team defend.

We are now at step 2 in the process. It's not as bad as it seems today

We have gotten nothing from Brayshaw, Garlett, Hogan and Vandenberg

Lift boys come on

Rubbish. Brayshaw is always at the ball and knows how to tackle. More than most of the nuffers in this team.

I used to tape our games and keep our wins but this year I have deleted them all (including previous years) because I just don't see us ever getting better and these bictories seem hollow.

Again today we keep making poor decisions and inaccurate executions, everyone is guilty.

Watched the Doggies v Coll game and both these playing groups are miles ahead of us unfortunately.

I have said this so many times, but until we get players who can dispose of ball correctly, by hand and foot, we will be a bottom team.

We are losing this game because of atrocious disposal, including kicking for goal, poor tackling that still allows the ball to be disposed of and a lack of running to make position.

Trouble is I think we have been at step 1 or 2 since 2012!

If you take your eyes off the stat sheet, Watts' decisonmaking and execution has been terrible, and he still tackles like a wet lettuce.

Jetta, Grimes, Dunn (mostly), Gawn, Brayshaw and Stretch get pass marks.

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the
