Bit of an upset on the cards at the G considering Richmonds form the last couple of weeks.

It shouldn't even be close. Umps have kept Richmond in this.

Hopefully GWS don't drop their heads because of it and fight out these last 5 mins.

Thanks Fork

that's the best compilation by far i've ever seen

we should sticky it as "Robbie Flower Tribute" (mods?)

as any one can see a totally different (and better) player than pendles

Richmond getting an armchair ride from the umpires like every week

Why is there a set of rules for some clubs and another set for the rest? Its so corrupt

if we had the umpiring help that Richmond get every game we would be in the 8 too.

If Liam Cameron doesn't raise this issue after the game, then he is a puppet.

Adam Treloar only just touched the ball 5 mins ago, he called holding the ball - it resulted in a goal.

Anthony Miles gets tackled, does a 540, is given leeway. This has happened all day.

Coaches have to step up like they do in the NRL, they have to voice they opinion, this is disgraceful.

In this day and age, we have absolutely deplorable bias. It's not acceptable, and coaches have to be vocal.

Frees for nothing, nothing for GWS

Went to the game, decided staying home in this weather was too depressing. Giants got a lot of easy frees, most were there but calls didn't go both ways. [censored] thing about that sort of umpiring is that it usually evens up at the end of the game at a crucial time. Yeah, the frees were there. The problem was that it didn't go both ways on critical, obvious free kicks. Umps were too involved all day. Richmond fans boo more than anyone but a lot of it was warranted today. In those conditions you're going to get a lot of high tackles and in the backs but you let them go and call them loosely. Which they did, but Giants got calls at times when Tigers wouldn't in identical (sometimes worse) situations. A lot of the boos were warranted.

It was inevitable that Tigers would get gifted free kicks in the last.

That last goal to Edwards came as a result of Miles being given far too long in the tackle to get rid of the ball - should have been holding the ball on the GWS half-forward line.

The rain should have suited Richmond, not GWS, and GWS has some really key players out injured (is Richmond missing anyone?). I should be surprised that Richmond didn't blow them apart, but then again it is Richmond.

Agreed on all points, DC. No comparison.

Ripping game, and again beautiful gesture afterwards. Expecting it to happen tonight as well (particularly due to Walsh's connection to West Coast).

Apparently the AFL has asked the clubs to do the huddle after every game this weekend.

Another very fortunate Richmond win that will add fuel to this ludcurous talk of fhem being a flag contender. They will get absolutely smacked in the finals again.

It's time to move ahead of Richmond and North next season. Bog ordinary the pair of them.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the scorching morning heat to bring you the following observations of Wednesday's preseason training session from Gosch's Paddock. HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
