Unless CAS take longer than expected, and on current indications hearings begin in Sydney in November, there is no way he will coach them next year. In fact I am predicting he will be out of the AFL by mid next year. There will be a total rebuild at the Bombers, which will take years. At last the Hird era will be cleansed, and they will start again, and the whole of the AFL will be better off for it.

Then WADA can turn to Athletics!!

If they get banned the rebuild will take years. Good luck trading players in to what will be a non competitive reserves team for 2 yrs.

Had to laugh at a comment I overheard from one of the game's elite young midfielders a few months ago. A Bombers fan asked if they'd consider moving to Essendon. Their response? "No [censored] way."

This was his response to the EFC question.

Apparently there was an Essendon fundraiser last night to do with Neale Daniher's charitable cause. Attended by many past greats, notables and current players. No prize for guessing who was conspicuous by his absence.

Oh no I was looking forward to winning.

If two have done it they will assume the rest have unless the bombers prove otherwise i reckon.

From the sound of it it was found from routine samples. That means that if they can tie the injection date, as per the hopeless records, and say it was just before the test was taken then they could deduce they were all injected with it but due to be short period it is detectable they others don't have positives as they were injected too long before the sample was taken.

The complicating factor is that the test is in development and as far as I know it is not ratified by WADA for these purposes. This means the best they can say is it provides an indication rather than proof. The defence will jump all over that point and try and have is thrown out. Depends what the judges think as to the weight they give it. If they accept it then the players are f'd.

You forget this is not a court of law. Its CAS. They can attribute whatever weight they deem appropriate to whatever. Its their game now.

That's why I said it depends on what weight the judges choose to give it! Was I too ambiguous in that sentence?

actually. .yes.

Has nothing to do with the defences stand. Its what CAS apply.

Oh dear, there's that propaganda creeping up again!

Jimmy better get on the front foot and leak something damning against the AFL to Slobbo.

I would think his immediate priority is more short term like protecting his job or payout rather than continuing the charade of protecting his players.

I'm sure he's on the phone to CHUBB right now.

    TRAINING: Monday 20th January 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

    TRAINING: Monday 13th January 2025

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

    TRAINING: Thursday 9th January 2025

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
