Viney Broken Leg 4-6 weeks

Last one out turn off the lights please.

A bit drastic? We now have one best 22 player on our injury list.

Pretty disappointing since he is one of the few to have played 8 solid quarters so far. Wishing him a speedy recovery. An opportunity for someone else to step up now.

Get him on to the Bone Broth Crossy! Helped you out!

Gutted for him, he was just showing consistent form and I was looking forward to returning to bulldoze some more Crows this year.

Michie comes in for me, sounds like he's had pretty consistent form with Casey and he's a tough body replacement. Toumpas is another chance but different players, plus I'd like to see him dominate a couple of weeks before takes the step up again.

Either way.. Brayshaw surely must start now!

was my veiled reference in other thread... necessity might advance his cause here. Might be the beginning on something. ..as opposed cameo that is

The eagles have lost Brown and mackenzie for the season, Collingwood lost sidebottom for 8 weeks, North lost dal santo for 8-12 weeks...... get over it ppl!

This is why our club is so pi$$ weak, we always have a sad anytime one player gets injured. It's football! We will get key injuries all the time!

Great opportunity for Michie to come in and cement a spot!

We have had a relatively a good run with injury so far this year, just a pity it happened to be one of the small handful who have strung 2 good games together.

Yep, Viney was looking great in both games. Hard at it, great tackles and much better disposal than last season.

Gutted.

For the first "start of season" in how many years?

If you're going to break a leg, 4-6 weeks is an absolute best case scenario!

Yes it's a terrible shame that a young gun will miss a month, but gee, we have a very, very healthy list overall. Let's hope that whoever comes into the team to take Jack's place is in-form, hungry and determined to keep that spot!

(This thread is a far cry from the hysteria following the NAB challenge match against Essendon)

It cant be too bad a fracture.

He was probably more aware of it as a local soreness that crippling pain. Had scans and lo and behold...tis a break me lad. But what kind ?

If he can keep the atrophy to a minimum he may well be back training in 4

watch this space I guess

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
