Stating the obvious here, but it shows just how half arshed the NAB challenge is. No one went near Cockatoo in the NAB, now he has no idea what he's gotten himself into.

I'm finding myself barracking hard for the Hawks and Chip here, I feel dirty. But Chip is forgiven. Best of luck.

Yeah I don't have an ounce of respect for Clark. Just another Borderline playing the sympathy card.

Watching the Hawks is bringing me back to Earth, suddenly Round 7 doesn't seem far away.

At the moment Clark must be feeling nothing much has changed since playing for us.

Looks like Clark's depression is spreading throughout the Geelong ranks.

Both the Scott brothers teams are getting absolutely towelled up round one!

Obviously it's only Round 1 so I could well be wrong, but I've always looked forward to seeing how Chris Scott would go once he had to develop his own side and not rely so much on what was in place before him. No coach will ever come into a coaching gig like he did with a club still at the peak or their powers.

This is just one game but they don't look all that flash.

Whorethorn since 1971. It keeps rolling on.....

It hasn't kept rolling. It's rolled and stalled several times. It's hardly news that they're the best side of the current era.

Flags in every decade since the 60's

I would call that continuous success!!

I wasn't impressed with Clark much in the first quarter (when the contest was on). Thought he was sluggish and had no second efforts whatsoever. If he'd done that in Melbourne colours we'd be fuming at him.

Hard to blame him since then though, Geelong's been awful and Hawthorn's been, predictably, flawless. Good on Hawthorn for what they've done since 2004, but at some point the competition needs them to slide back to the pack and it's not happening.

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the

PODCAST: Match SIM vs North Melbourne

Join us LIVE on Monday night at 8:30pm—note that this special time is just for this week due to prior commitments. We'll break down the Match SIM against North Melbourne and wrap up the preseason with insights into training and our latest recruits. I apologize for skipping our annual season review show at the end of last season. After a disapponting season filled with off-field antics and a heated trade week, I needed a break. Thankfully, the offseason has recharged me, and I’m back—ready t
