Please. Liam Jones played 5 minutes of football last night.

Watching carlton last night from the half way point of the 2nd Q was just the same as watching us over the last 8 years

They have no forward line. For some reasons they sold it all

So why did you call it early and say Richmond would get belted ? Ha ha!

If he had concentrated on landing correctly instead of staging for a free kick he would not have sustained the injury. Another example of current day players not protecting themselves whilst looking for free kicks.

Spot on.

I know Levi Casboult's kicking is woeful but I'm wondering if this was the reason for his ommision from the Carlton team this week. They really did need a target up forward.

Mick said he didn't kick a goal at all during 3 NAB Cup games, so that may have been a reason. Still a little baffling considering they went hard to keep him when his stock rose towards the end of last season.

Wait, let me get this straight - are you trying to suggest that supporters on here would be salivating at the thought of Liam Jones playing for us?

You're having a laugh. A total spud of a footballer. Thankfully the footy department thinks the same and clearly wouldn't go near him with a 50 foot pole.

We have drafted much worse over the years...He is still relatively young for a key forward.

Yes it was an early call & Richmond were horrible at the time.

(They kicked 2 goals minutes after i posted it. Could have deleted the post. But i left it up there for a laugh) :)

Mark Stevens just confirmed that Daisy Thomas would need surgery. 12 - 16 weeks.

He also cemented his friendship with Mick at last night's post-game press conference.

Malthouse can be a real sook with the media, but Stevo clearly wasn't listening to his answers.

My prediction of Carlton finishing bottom 2 is looking good.

What did they trade for Jaksch, early days but didn't really show much at GWS either. Looks no better than Watson.

Pick 7 for pick 19 (Boekhurst), Jaksch & Mark Whiley.

Could still get some value out of that trade, but for a top 10 pick?

I'd expect more.

Trolololol Essendon.

They've completely stopped since halfway through the third quarter (they led by 41!). Not surprising, no pre-season for half of them.

Sydney looked pretty poor early, good opponent for them to work themselves into form.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
