After the last three years of disgrace, we get a prime time, Friday night game against a Victorian club at the G, totally undeservedly, and you complain?

This is a huge win for our club, and if the clubs are intending for it to be permanent, then you'd expect it to be shared every year as to who hosts.

Fully appreciate this, and yes we don't deserve it.

It's just a bit funny that Richmond, the bigger club, must automatically be the home team and get the gate takings for the first encounter.

Possibly... but what is the ratio of members to supporters who attend our games? As far as supporters who are not members go, I doubt that they will be too concerned over whose home game it is, because it's still at the MCG and they have to pay regardless.

I would like us to kick off with a home game Rnd1 say V Richmond, the 'In Memoriam' game for Tulip.

a club in not to distant level for the contest, but excellent attendance numbers.

Any chance we can be the home team against Essendon. Since 2006 we have played them only once a year and we have only been the home team in 2010 this is a disgrace where is the equilization.

I hear we're playing GWS in Canberra in Round 2. Predictable. I wish they could be a bit more inventive with the fixture. At least we have the Round 4 clash against Richmond. Fair enough if it's their home game given we always have Queen's Birthday as ours, to me the game will be bigger than QB. Already counting down to it

The last time we didnt lose Round 1 was in 2011. We drew with the Swans.

We have to go back to 2005 for our last win in Round 1, that was against Essendon.

We have gone backwards at a rate of knots since.

Reasonably confident you can extend the stat to round 2…Though I'm pretty sure our Round 1 2005 win was the Broady match against Essendon.

In fact, the past 9 seasons' first 3 games (27 matches) have yielded 2 wins for the Dees.

No I didn't see that game, what I have seen of him(4 games) has been less than impressive reminding me of some of our past hopefuls. One game doesn't make a career, I'm aware it was his first season but he came with wraps of being better than Omera. It's a wait and see for me.

Yep, we're winless in Rounds 1 and 2 since 2005 where we won the first three games. So difficult to build momentum, both on and off the field, when you're consistently starting 0-2 (and almost always 0-3).

I was under the impression we did well financially out of playing games in the NT.. almost certain we don't lose money from these games.

We are in no position to whinge. We get better, we win games, we win games we have more people turn up, simple as that.

It could be worse, Suns in r9 when we have not won a game, and could be the Swans ON mothers day when no one goes to our games in previous years?
