Radar?

Paul Roos and Lumumba were seen at a cafe together this morning.

I'm fairly positive it wasn't about the teachings of the Dali Lama.

But I could be wrong.

Im actually surprised. Thought he'd go after his old mate Mick .

Certainly going to be an entertaining off season

Somehow dont think Bucks would care much if he went....I sense Eddie is in damage control only as far as exactly value in a trade. Not sensing the angst that these things normally generate from the Filth-hole.

Odd

Of course I get it - we just disagree on how to get there.

We should definitely be going after pretty much anybody who improves us and is willing to come. I didn't say you made the draftees point, but you'll also notice I didn't put any quote marks in. What I'm saying is that we can either pick up a whole lot more young kids and lose Frawley this year, thereby reducing our list age even more, or go after players of a similar age who are ready to go and make an immediate improvement.

I can guarantee that the only thing that will mean a quicker death for this club than being mid-table and winning a few more games is being on the bottom, waiting for the tide to turn with speculative draft picks.

We will get the Tysons and Hogans as well - it isn't as if they are going to give up picks 2 and 3 for a player like Heritier.

I think we need some run and carry that Heritier can bring but we need better foot skills that he doesn't. The age profile I would be looking at is around the 22 to 25 yo, this is where our drafting has really let us down. There will be a lot of opportunities, I think we can do better.

Take Moomba any day of the week. Gun player. Buckley has cut every player from the Collingwood list that has a personality and brought them success ( ie rat pack, wants swan gone and now Moomba). I believe Buckley has an ego complex to do such a thing. We are a cultured club with a terrible list so bring him on. If you compare Moomba to our back line list how can we not take him

I'm not a fan of HL either but if Roos thinks he can improve us then who are we to say otherwise.

Look at what Roos (& co) has done so far in getting Tyson, Vince, Cross and Salem. Also he has turned Jetta, Pedo and Dunny into really good football players to date. Who would have thought that was possible last season????

If Roos wants HL and wants him to play a different role to what he is playing ATM then I would back Roos in to achieve it.

Roos is an understanding coach where Bucks is well a fart head and that too will be a big difference for HL.

IRIT (In Roos I trust).

An established player? A bloke who doesn't think dressing up as a paedophile or one of his victims is kosher? Someone who hasn't been plucked from the VFL with questionable skills or athleticism?
THIS BLOKE WASN'T MADE FOR MELBOURNE!

A guy that threatens to walk out of a club because someone wrote "Off to the Mardi Gras boys" on a players photo

who would want to play with someone like that?

the Collingwood players cant stand him

You know that for a fact? First hand evidence? (And media reports are not fact.) All you post are broad sweeping statements h_h.

So now you believe casual homophobia is ok? No wonder g ay AFL footballers do not come out.

There might be many reasons for not wanting H on our list, but calling homophobia for what it is should not be one of them.

You should have kept your word and not posted on land again.

I wonder how many of the blokes on here who talk about HL being a cancer in the locker room were dead keen on keeping Colin Sylvia at the club once he 'finally got a preseason into him'?

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi
