that doesn't narrow it down - most other footballers from other clubs are in our best 22.

It does, is he a better option than currently, if so he will be a target.

Lumumba a semi-decent athlete, sadly that is where it ends.

Just a very ordinary football player, basic skill level is that of an under 13 player.

I'd rather throw Jurrah out there after 10 pots than this bloke.

i know he went over the top and it seems a harmless remark. but at the end of the day whoever wrote the mardi gras comment was putting someone down by insinuating they are homosexual. things like that is the reason not one player/coach comes out.

We have not one player than would be classified as a running half back that is decent. if we can get him for a second rounder, we definetely have to go for it. massive gap in our team would be filled

i personally like characters in footy, everyone is too robotic.

Why does the word 'g ay' get censored on here?

Used to play for the Hawks in the 70s as I recall......but not PC this millennium :-(

Amazing amount of bile here for someone who wanted to take a moral stance about material that was clearly anti-g ay. Just because you complain about such discrimination doesn't make you a 'nutter', 'screwball', 'self-righteous', 'easily offended' or a 'tool'. I'd imagine Brock McLean would complain too.Lumumba either can't get on at Collingwood because it's full of players like Dane Swan, or he can't get on at any 'blokey' football club. If it's the former, I don't have a problem, if it's the latter then I will have some doubts. To suggest he wouldn't improve our list is naive. He'd be a definite improvement off half-back over Grimes, Terlich or the de-listed Nicholson, and provides plenty of metres gained even if his kicking is not 100%.As usual, it depends on the cost. For me: a high draft pick, no; second-round or PSD, yes.

I doubt Brock would take a self righteous stance like Lamumba. He has been very effective in drawing attention to homophobia in a much more low key way and good on him for it. I get the feeling with Harry it's all about him - he sulks and becomes outraged and embittered and much more likely to put people offside.

Looks like roosy on the right and lumumba on the left... God help us

Also looks like Jade Rawlings behind Roos

Can't believe how many people who have just spent the ENTIRE season whining about our utter lack of footballing ability turn straight around and express the opinion that a 27 year old ex-All Australian a downright no. Not even have a look. It is insane - I don't care what anybody says, he is clearly best 22 for us and I also couldn't care less if he is past his best. Let's just say 95% of his best is a hell of a lot better than what we've got in the main.

For what its worth, I don't think we will genuinely go after him. I think Roos made a spectacle of it to show everyone how serious he is about moving aggressively in the offseason.

Maybe its the same posters who are saying the same about a 26 year old ex All Australian.

Gorgs, you seem to offer to cancel your membership regularly.

I am surprised that your are a member, are you still a member?

Really, regularly...

Please find them all for me.

But yes, I'm a member, 15th consecutive year, I've missed one year since 95.

2nd round is way too high.

Comments like him being in our best 22 or improve our list are naive. probably 75% of players in the AFL would be an improvement on our current list. The real question, is he the right person to help take us forward.

I would think Roos and the crew have done well this year bringing in Cross, Tyson & Vince and I expect the same for next year.

It's a lot easier being all australian in a successful team though isn't it?

Sorry but when he loses his athleticism all we will be left with is an over sensitive, self righteous [censored]. Don't want him

Imagine how boring the locker room would be with this guy in it

Would totally kill the mood and comraderie

You know him personally do you? Thought not.

Didn't realise the mood in in our locker room was so high. Must've been great after the loss to GWS. Fool.

You can be starting 18 or you can be players that really take this club forward....now which do you think these 2 are?

I would rather invest in players that are the future of this club or players like Cross who can lead to the future. Neither of these players can do this.

I don't know what you mean mate. I want players that will win us more games. Robinson and Harry O are better than the current half backs and half forwards we have, so they should help us win more games and take the club forward.

If thats the case, GET HIM IN THAT LOCKER ROOM. Anything to kill whatever currently exists in that locker room is A OK for me. But really, what a ridiculous comment.

Hilarious thread.

You would reckon we were looking at Isaac Weetra's worse cousin.

It may or may not work but he can play footy and is a real need.

That it is being given consideration is an insight into the thinking of Roos. "Must improve list."

I don't want us to be a middle rung team and win a few more games. That's what these guys would bring. I want players that will take us to the ultimate success, some like Cross will not be there as players then but will have played a big part in the overall scheme. I don't think Robinson would add anything and have my doubts about H.

Exactly. Brock is attached to the issue because his sister is g ay. He's got a genuine agenda, and like most people who actually have a g au relative or friend, he will know the difference between homophobia, innocent mistakes, and a good laugh.

I actually feel like lumumba is making things worse for g ay people in this instance, rather than better.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
