I hope he is, although I have heard a few things suggesting that he might have snuck into that squad on his name rather than his output. I’ve also heard that his dad is keen for him to select the Dees if given the opportunity. Hopefully he is a gun and makes it to us!

Kalani does live up on the Gold Coast doesn’t he? Or in Brisbane at least. Is he actually any good though? I have read mixed reports as to whether he’s touted as a top end talent, or likely to go later in the draft (or even rookie draft).

I don’t mind playing developing forwards in defensive roles for a while. It can help in a bunch of ways - freshen them up a bit, learn what makes life hard for a defender and it can also help a bit with intensity and physicality (which Jefferson lacks). No room to hide in the backline - you can’t drop a mark or miss a contest/tackle and you can’t waste a kick.

My guess.. 1 - Curtin 2 - Wilson

I’d be happy if that Shaun Mannagh made it to 42. He’s mature age, but would be well suited to us as a speedy high half forward or small forward. Fast, gets possessions and is a nice kick and be hits the scoreboard too.

Whilst I’d be open to the F1 trade (in the hope it is pick 1 or 2, I’d be very pleased if we just took Curtin. Agree that their pick 23 this year could be a good option as steak knives too, given it will probably be a third round pick by the time all of the bloody NGAs and concessions are handed out..!

It all comes down to how each club rates Curtin. If WCE want to trade then let’s presume they rate him as a top 2 or 3 pick this year and as a Perth boy they’d be comfortable getting him now, rather than waiting 12 months for an unknown kid a pick or 2 better. So yeh I agree in my scenario I’d hope the steak knives are in our favour - but I can’t see it being anything significant.

I’d do it. If Curtin made it to us and WCE wanted to trade, I think in reality it would look along the lines of our 2023 pick 6 plus our 2024 second round pick (attached to Syd) for WCE 2024 first pick. Maybe a few steak knives back and forth but that’s about it and I’d take it.

Sounds like we’ve also delisted Milkshake this afternoon, with a view to adding him back onto the rookie list.

In our dreams! In reality North will probably be given an extra pick and GC will trade pick 4 but still take Read as an academy player. So there will be at least 2 additional picks before we are up and I doubt McKercher would last 6 picks anyway.

Croft looks like a project pick to me - based on what I’ve seen I’m very surprised that he’s mooted as a potential top 15 pick and despite our need for another tall forward (particularly one who can ruck), I’d be disappointed if we had an interest in him with a first round pick.

This would be a good result as there has been quite a bit of talk they could get pick 11 as well - which would have set out second pick back even further than it already is!

Prestia should be a good pick up for Richmond, although offset by the loss of Deledio. Jake Carlisle will offer the Saints a lot. Not new recruits I know, but bring Bennell and Fyfe back into Freos side could be a bigger impact than any recruits.

Bicks hasn't said much really. I think we need to see improved running capacities from guys like Petracca, Salem, Oliver, Brayshaw, Vandenburg and Stretch. We are also quite lean in the key posts outside of McDonald (CHB), Hogan (CHF) and Gawn (ruck). Those guys will each need to play 15+ games you would think.

I enjoyed it. Hes offered a damn sight more than you, in any case.

Pretty sure we'll trade our 2017 pick (and maybe something extra) for a first round pick next year. Either that or for a player. Well go in pretty hard for a free agent over the next 24 months as well. List. Complete.
