Dom Tyson

Norm Smith's Curse

They were talking last night on telly about how he didn't have a great pre season either and it was kind of scary what he could produce as the team improves with a couple of solid pre seasons behind him, I reckon hes a fantastic get

I was at training where he dropped to his knees, stayed down for a few minutes and was clutching his hand. The trainers eventually came out to him and gave him pain killers after which he kept training. Coincided with his dip of form just after mid way through the year. You wont hear him complaining but I reckon he had a broken hand or at least a finger during that period. He will be a gun.

I would love Dom to take home the B and F, would be an amazing story

Also want Jonesy to win his 3rd in a row

It will be neck and neck

I think Tyson will lead through rounds 1-10. Jones I thought had a more consistent outing in the latter part of the year and was really the only consistent performer in the last 10 losses. He'll probably *just* beat him.

Tipped him to win it tonight.

Absolute star in the making! 21 year old racked 522 disposals kicked 16.6 and laid 70 tackles in just his 3rd year of footy.

These stats are better then GAJ, Pendlebury, Hodge, Cotchin, Dustin Martin, Swan, Josh Kennedy in their 3rd years of AFL footy.

Impressive

How I hope this kid gives the GWS football department many sleepless nights.

*I know we are talking Tyson, but I believe we'll land Kelly at some stage as well

i've always seen Josh Kelly in a Demons jumper.

Joint at the hip with Salem and we'd be best placed to land him.

If there was a market on us landing Kelly at the end of his next contract, I'd load up on it.

Kelly loves his AFL, if we get this club right, I believe we'd land him.

Greater Western Sydney won't work, it won't be too long before players start to see what time it is.

Lance Franklin was a pretty big boast for Sydney, without Buddy, there interest in that market would be zero.

I cannot for the life of me see Sydney as a place I'd want to play my football.

Dom was a ray of light. I just hope we can find another 1-2 players like him who just need a spot in the best 22 to show what they can do. Still like Mitchell if the swans feel like dealing, and I am sure gws would have a few guys that want to do what Dom had done and look at the dees as a place to go to do it.

The emergence of Tyson was one of very few highlights of 2014. Hopefully Roo's can pull off another masterstroke and land another talented young gun to help this football club become competitive again.

Gary Ablett hasn't re-signed yet.......

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs West Coast

It’s game day and the Demons return to Melbourne to play the Eagles at the MCG for the first time in over a decade. A win keeps the Dees finals hopes alive whereas a loss will almost certainly slam the finals window shut.

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well
