After doing the hard yards at work tonight and driving home, my phone just went nuts with messages! Finally got to see the last two minutes and then the song being sung, insane feeling. Left with a massive grin. They are building. This all has a certain feeling about it.

I think if we can just be in the head space to hunt the Roos from the very start and get them on the back foot, somewhat like we eventually did against Adelaide, then there is nothing that can stop us. We didn't let the height of Adelaide get us like what Hawthorn did to us the week before, I am hoping we won't slip into poor habits and cost ourselves again. It sounds simple, play smart, hunt them and we should get the points.

I still can't get over seeing him grabbing the ball while he is in mid air and before his feet have hit the ground he has already fired out a handball. The awareness and speed is insane.

Soon as I read about the sponsorship this morning I figured they probably have access. Considering a few others here have had phone calls too, it all makes sense.

If Sheedy loves the need to label matches that ultimately mean [censored] all to hype them up (City v Country.. incredible, can't wait for this one), then I'm looking forward to him drumming up next weeks game against West Coast! Wonder what he could call it..?

Prior to those phone calls, I had never been to the site or had anything to do with iSelect. Just happened out of the blue for me.

Had them ringing me non stop that I blocked the number, feel a little bad now haha.

This one has always frustrated me. We have heard it so many times over the years. What these blokes do for a living is no mystery. So why are they all switched off at the start of a game?

It always feels like we are slow to react to what is happening in front of us. Every game so far this year has had elements of that happening. We have been lucky a few times but the ability to stop the opposition doing damage for long periods of time is what will continually do us in. I would love to say it is just a matter of coming out and playing 4 quarters and everything will be right. How easy would that be! But just having a mind set to see that a change is needed earlier rather than later could mean a game won rather than lost.

Thought Tyson worked his way into the game a little better this week. Hopefully can keep building for next week.

Is it a case of Tyson getting out his rut by just working his way into the season due to his pre season?

It was noticeable on TV too. I just felt that someone should have stayed down with him. Two blokes going up for a spoil and it tips out the back, it never ends well.

He was the one that injured Smith. No Watts down there account of no ruck and Rance was always going to do it easy.

The never ending ride of being a Melbourne supporter! A bit of good fortune would be nice.. Please?

Wasn't expecting too much from him this year but showed a lot. Looking forward to what he has to offer over the next few years, can see him giving tonight a really good crack.

And Andy Maher shouldn't be allowed to commentate either. But atleast he isn't inside the commentary box so we don't have the problem of trying to watch the TV coverage with him going for glory.

Heard that too Rojik and just started laughing. Was she not watching the play at all? I didn't mind her at the start, pre-game but once the game started it just got bad.

I went down to Skilled last year for a NAB pre season game. I took the train which was a 'Footy Special' that went to South Geelong. From South Geelong it was about a 5 minute walk to the ground if I remember correctly, nothing too bad. Matter of fact, I think you pass the ground on the train just before you arrive into South Geelong.

Many people have made good calls regarding the topic. As rpfc said, it is the worst feeling going into games in September when you know you have little chance of winning a flag. I don't know about you but I cannot remember a finals series where I have been confident of this football club going all the way.. or even making it to the second week. And to this day I don't feel confident of me seeing this club winning a flag in my lifetime, and i am in my 20's. It is a feeling which I hate. Simple way to go about this, get the best possible in the draft. We have been bad for a couple of years now, why blow it for some wins that mean nothing at the end of the day? Seriously, 2 wins in a row does not build a winning culture.

Always liked Bruce and am very happy that he made it to 200 games. A good player and well respected.

I don't understand. Prior to the West Coast game we were playing horrible. We have beaten West Coast in a game that we had to win no matter what and beaten Port Adelaide where they looked even worse than us. I still don't think we are much chop (we are showing improvement) but North will win over us at Etihad and I think Richmond will get us back after we beat them earlier this year. The only game coming that I know we will win is against Freo at the G.

We won't beat North. We play them at Etihad. We have not played well at Etihad even when the club has been playing good.
