GOODBYE MITCH CLARK

Recommended Posts

Are you a Geelong supporter?

No where near it! A late second rounder is useless to the Dees! but pick 14 gives us options, we need to use M.Clark to come up the order not for some pick that can only be used on anothers scraps or a project player, we have had enough of them lets get in some high end talent (P.Dangerfield) to teach these kids how to play through example or package the #2 and #14 for Stkilda's #1 and #22

big bodied players are what we need, we don't need more toumpas's, Salem's, Hunt's or Barry's (who will hopefully come on in time). We need to aim for Dangerfield and if we can't get him then for Petracca maybe even both if the List management is aggressive enough

Who would of predicted this going back a year ago, I felt sorry for Clark with his mental health issues but for him to move to a different club that really doesn't sit we'll with me, and I feel like I have to be carefull with my words because the issue is mental health.

It's basically like he needed a rest and wasn't up to it and now he is ok again and expects to continue his footy career like nothing happened, Melbourne supporters are the most loyal going around, didn't he think it would show the supporters everything we desire, which would be for him to come back to Melbourne and start playing some good forty again.

Yes it is only a game, but why come back and play for a different club?

Maybe if we land a big fish or two, Clark might change his mind again...

Would we have him back?

I would.

I reckon we've gone too far down this path to turn back now. He'll be heavily tied up in all these trades we appear to have on the boil.

However we structure things it has to involve a mechanism for delivering HL from Collingwood. Obtaining pick 14 is steak knives in the three way deal if it happened. As long as it doesn't end up seeing MC forced into the PSD after his contract ends on 31/10/2014, in which case everyone misses out!

Lol no way the guy has made his bed and now he needs to lie in it.

Listen to Terry Wallace assessment on the cats and you would agree that they are on the way down.

Still can't believe this deal hasn't been finalised. I'm sure collingwood are holding up as usual. They live in fantasy land draft week.

Going by what I heard from Collingwood on SEN Fri night, they said they are going to now trade with other clubs and resume trade period as per normal now they have officially closed off Beams negotiations. I think they wanted to see what would happen with the Beams deal first.

The problem Collingwood has apparently is that they can't complete the Varcoe deal without clearing some salary cap space which would have been the case had they finalised a deal over Beams.

This sort of thing is what prolongs many of the negotiations and delays their finalisation.

I have terrible news. Seven year old daughter was exploring Deezone and got really excited. "Dad, guess which Demon I am most like?" Mitch Clark. I had to smile like that was really great. Then had to go through all the questions to see who I was...

Is that really because you are a closet Jarrod Rivers fan (who scored in the top ten in their B&F)?

As l understand (from the Age) that Geelong may be getting pick 21 from Brisbane for Christianson, maybe we should be demanding that when we send send MC to Geelong as part of the complex multi-club that secures us HL from Collingwood? Otherwise why not merely swap MC to Collingwood for HL ( if Geelong is not prepared to pay what he is worth )?

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
