Embarrassed by Jamie Bennell as a forward

Totally ineffectual as a loose man in the backline

Runs around Lycett with a glimpse of his pace and hits a target lace out.

A little tease of the so called brilliance sprinkled in with so much crap.

I really wish he just played flat out with 110% inensity. Whatever happened from then on I could live with. But I can't live with anymore half baked efforts.

I want to change my vote.

Having seen him get bumped off it so easily by Bennell, it's fair to say he just hasn't got it.

I used to think it was just a matter of time before the club forced him to do extra tackling sessions and strength sessions, but either they can't get him to do it or he just doesn't want to do it.

Carlton is still keen on him - Mick Malthouse was his mentor two years ago - and I think we can still get their second pick (25 approx) for him.

It's more a case that you can't have a guy who is one of the club's two most well-known players influence the image of the whole team.

Our club is laughed at because of him.

Paul Roos has tried all year to show him support and I'm sure he will one more time next week, but after that he just has to let him go.

Just like we all do.

He's a nice bloke, super talent but he just doesn't have a nasty competitive streak that all footballers must have to succeed.

I still wish that he'd show all the knockers what he can do, but I'm afraid it's just a wish of mine like winning the lottery.

At some point we all need a reality check.

The few occasions he was being beaten one on one against bennell were really poor. I think he actually has no confidence in himself in those situations and dreads it more about losing the contest again rather than being soft. It's all psychological with Watts. The attention he recieves from his own supporters and outside of the club is unprecedented.

IMO he is as gone as Frawley. It really can't be any fun being Jack

Watts. The best possible outcome for both parties is that he leaves. It's just beyond repair in my eyes, and if one of grimes of trengove is traded it will be the nail in the coffin of the most spectacular era of poor drafting and development.

should have been dropped after the Swans game 4 months ago

Exactly and not just for a week or two. He needed to be told you're going back for 6-8 weeks and this is what you have to work on. I know it's hard with such a lack of depth but it would have been the best thing for his development. He was being outmarked in 1-1 by Prestia and now Bennell showed him up, where is his competitive desire or pride?

Has anyone seen a 196cm footballer spend so much time falling over in the contest or near it?

Over and over again we see smaller opponents holding their feet and running away with the ball while JW lies on the ground. His team mates must be disgusted with the effort. Compare him to Bail and Jetta who don't have 10% of his talent but 100% more effort.

Very sad. Forget development we stuffed up big time here.

Watts is poison

Imagine being a teammate and going into battle with him

First thing you learn when you go up to the senoirs.

WHEN ITS YOUR TURN TO GO,YOU GO.

Unfortunately this bloke cant go,ive talked to so many people about this and their opinion is he wouldnt get a game at our local level. He just aint got the nuts for the job.

Interesting ,somebody on this site mentioned basketball and after watching him closely and this is no derogatory pitch,he looks like hes playing BBall ,always on the outside for the outlet pass,he just cant play with other people in his 1 metre zone.

no daisy, we can't settle for less than 100% Effort from anyone; this is what Melbourne teams have been dishing up since the Spirit of Smithy was exorcised.

Barass/Jordan reignited the flame, & Swoop poured in accelerant. apart from that time, its been all downhill skiing & bolognese in the chalets over winters past.

he's playing Point Guard dishing off, but won't run hard.

mixed beach volleyball for jack, & he could make the Oly Impics with his skills.

My 7 year old grandson just got a tackle buddy for his birthday, just blow it up and fill the bottom with water and your good to go. You think we can chip in and buy one for Jack.

HaHaHa he'd try to wrestle it to the ground & cuddle it. trouble is the tackle buddy would take jack down first.

Before yesterday's game I was a keeper, this comes even after his efforts v- GWS.

Now I don't care and would be happy for him to be traded.

The way he plays sums up the MFC and is miles away from new comers Vince and Cross who give it everything. It's time Jack and the MFC part ways, it's honestly the best for both.

I hope that another team still feels he has untapped the potential.

Be lucky to get a 2nd rounder for Jackie. Id take it.

What a sad and sorry juncture this has come to.

There can be no doubt surely now that his future ( and I wish him luck ) is simply not with us.

I have always stuck up for watts and been a fan but his efforts against Jamie bennell were embarrassing. If he couldn't assert himself on the contest and beast bennell who he has 17cm & 15kg on then god help him

I think I saw his v joiner at one stage last night.

Wrong,it was the shadow of his v joiner you saw.

I think pederson picked it up at one stage and tried to throw it off the ground.

Yep, losing one on ones to Jamie Bennel. How low can you go.

Let's cut ties so we can at least look like we're trying to restore credibility to this club.

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the

GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne

It's Game Day and it very well could be the last roll of the dice for the Demon's finals aspirations in 2024. A loss to the bottom side would be another embarrassing moment in a cursed year for the Dees whilst a win could be the spark they need to reignite the fire in the belly.

    THE HUNTER by The Oracle

Something struck me as I sat on the couch watching the tragedy of North Melbourne’s attempt to beat Collingwood unfold on Sunday afternoon at the MCG.    It was three quarter time, the scoreboard had the Pies on 12.7.79, a respectable 63.16% in terms of goal kicking ratio. Meanwhile, the Roos’ 18.2.110 was off the charts at 90.00% shooting accuracy. I was thinking at the same time of Melbourne’s final score only six days before, a woeful 6.15.51 or 28.57% against Collingwood’s 14.5.89

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t
