the sooner we swap JKH for Gawn the better

If we lose this game it was lost at the selection table

What like expecting everyone who has barracked for us to play for us? Yeah that's really mature...

Actually, I think we are being a little unfair to Undeeterred, It was JackVineyForPresident who started the whole "supported dees as a kid" thing.

Boring game so far.

But we are in it. I'd rather this than allowing the Pies to kick 120 points yet again while being smashed. We have room for improvement in the second half and we are only 9 points down. We are right in the contest.

Fkn Mcaffer killing Tyson.

If Dom's name was Gary or Scott he would've had 5 free kicks by now...

Our midfield is do much better, but we are losing it at the clearances... And we just lack a bit of polish...by the way whose the new bloke in number 4? Runs hard, his tackle set up the first goal. Might be good across the half forward line...

Boring game so far.

Maybe it's the fact that we are still well in this game at half time, but I'm finding it fairly riveting... a good well contested game, and if McDonald could be a little more accountable (that is, get back to his first quarter form), we will be a better than even chance to take this.

So, we're in touch at half time, which hasn't happened a lot in recent years.

We've seen some interesting umpiring, including yet another "Salem picked up the ball" decision and a HTB against Watts when he handpassed it.

Our defence is keeping us in this game without a doubt. Especially the 4th eighth of the game when Collingwood were dominating and only got one goal from it. Dunn is fighting hard against Cloke but as their midfield gets on top it's getting harder.

I don't hold a lot of hope of our key forwards scoring goals, so the flankers and mids need to step up and take the slack. Frost and Keith are going to be very hard to take marks on in range of goal.

All in all 3/4 of that half we've been really good, and when we let them off the leash we limited the damage.

Yeah, the ball movement is slow, but we're also overusing it when we have the numbers. Worried at the moment. We stopped half way through that quarter.

Free kicks 7 to 2 or something the Pies way. Nice to see absolutely no bias going on for the game's "super star" Pendebury.

On the bright side only 8 frees for the half. There probably should have been a few more paid to us and there were a couple of shocking HTB's paid to them, but it could be a lot worse.

5 - 2 (to Collingwood)

* we only got one in the last 5 minutes of that half...

I was going off the stats from Fox but the AFL app says 6 - 3... either way it's not good

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

    TRAINING: Wednesday 11th December 2024

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
