my die hard doggies mate claims their back line is pathetic, and non functional. Perhaps Fitzy could rattle a few in there? Albeit i would prefer Frawley, BIG TIME.

Why make their back line less pathetic by including Fitzpatrick?

While the suspensions are frustrating, if it's because our players are playing hard as nails that's a positive we can take away from it.

Kent would've been a straight slot for Viney though, so that's a shame. Could be Riley's chance now, Michie would be too far off because of his broken jaw. Oh, by the way, who got suspended for breaking Michie's jaw? Nobody? Nobody even sighted? Yeah, thought so.

bring Riley in for viney, make him the sub and allow Salem to play a full game

Swap georgiou for garland

Frawley for fitzy as the doggies defence is abit small

SUB: Salem

EMERG: Clisby, Evans, Georgiou

Georgiou to stay in the team if Frawley doesn't get up, in which case we send Garland forward.

As Casey are playing that same day Georgiou should also be our non playing emergency. That way if Frawley is fit to play Alex would then get the week off just to make sure he's cherry ripe after his head clash and body slam.

Best chance of winning this game is to stretch the bulldogs slightly weak defence, Watts did that last year and collected 3 votes.

Apart from Viney, there are a few with "injury watch" plus the apparently compulsory Mystery Injury of the Week which could make selection challenging.

All of Frawley, Watts, Georgiou and Jones are known to have had injury problems last week. Of them, I would expect Watts and Jones to play, but backs can be troublesome (ask Grimes and Hogan) and need to be treated with respect. Georgiou might have been rested anyway this week even without the head clash, although if Frawley's out perhaps without injury he would still have played.

I don't expect there will be any omissions. If there were none after the Sydney game, why would there be after last weekend, particularly if there are already some compulsory changes?

I think Gawn's time has come and that the Match Committee would like to see what he can do in the Seniors, so he'd be picked ahead of Fitzpatrick.

So, I suspect it will be Viney, Frawley and Georgiou out with Garland, Gawn and an available on baller (Riley?) in.

(Unless of course Viney appeals and wins.)

Corey Dell'Ollio got sighted off the video and got 3 weeks for rough conduct for contact with Michie which broke his jaw.

Actually he tried to run over my cat but lost confidence, missed and ended up smashing 20m away.

I like his hardness, I like his intercept marking, I like his tackling, but he's turning the ball over at an alarming rate and has lost confidence in his decision making and kicking which were a real feature of his debut year particularly the first half of the season.

Meanwhile Clisby has put together a composed month of football at Casey. It's not at all personal it's just time for a swap.

I am with you master. Terlich makes poor decisions and is not tight enough on his man.

Cross might find a bit extra to prove the doggies wrong tipping him for bog

So that's two of you, any more?

Others must disagree coz he was in about five or six of the published 'bests', he is trusted a lot with the kick ins and deservedly got a bake when he didn't follow instructiions a few weeks back, the exaggeration over his mistakes is just that...can't see him not being picked any time soon

I think Terlich bought himself a couple of more weeks in the seniors after the Adelaide game. But geez he was running out credits.

if anybody can find a no nonsense rugged MF to do a preseason and be willing not to shirk and issue.

then you will see him dumped from the list.

until then hes what we have to provide grunt down back until the club unearths some qualities players that can take this position off him.

Not sure if he'd do the preseason, but what about James Packer?

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
