Great debut. I'd keep him as sub though and continue to ease him in.

I'd of kept him in the VFL all year.

But no sub, if he is in now, play him.

He is hard as nails, I just thought Roos would want to sift through a few before hand.

He looked so clean and classy tonight. Could have had more of the ball if his teammates hadn't stuffed up a few passes and made bad decisions. He doesn't just use it well, he looked to be presenting in the right places and he put his body in when he needed to. Basically everything we need in a young player.

We were all salivating after Cale Morton's first few games. But I'm joining the queue with the salivation on this guy.

Tyson plus Salem should equal Kelly...hopefully. But we need to overturn our list as quick as we can, and there is no better way than getting 2 great players (incl. possible star); for a potential probable star...

The only thing I'd say is that he looked to be blowing at the end. Still, first game nervous energy will do that IMO.

looks like Roosys first draft has been a success (yeah i know its Todd Vineys draft but Roos would have had input)

early days but Salem and JKH both looking legit

One of the best things I saw was him run last the player with the ball and put a shepherd on, not ask for the 2 meter handball so many do.

Ps, Barrett you are a FLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHGGGGGGGGG

Looked like he belonged immediately. Super promising.

How good was it to see the whole team get around him after his first goal?

That was great. His evasion in that piece of play was top notch, too.

Play him full games now, he was calm under pressure and that goal he kicked was great, very unlucky not to have a 2nd goal. He had a handy 6 touches and took 3 marks. He took more marks in a quarter and a half then Nic Nat has taken in 4 matches. Sorry couldnt help myself.

But so far he looks like he belongs. Its good having the number 3 out there again.

So many Melbourne guys ran around the ball tonight.

Salem went straight at it and had good hands.

his shepherd was great. AMazing how holes open up around the contest when you take the ball or a man out.

In such a dour game with an unfortunately inevitable result, his cameo was surely a reason to support this team.

Well done Salem.

Looks Hard, Sharp and Hungry.

Great body size too, gonna be a solid unit in a couple of years.

More please!

I suppose the number 3 didn't help and maybe it was just the angle I saw it from (the Ponsford stand), but when Salem kicked that goal, just for the briefest of moments, I seriously thought I was watching Gary Lyon

Watts out and Salem in, straight swap.

Give him a few more full games then send him back to the VFL if necessary (ala Michie), but see if he has what it takes.

If we get Riley in next week too, will be a very hard fought match indeed.

Salem's already in.

I think he should be a sub for another couple of games to get hid confidence up. We Did enter the game in the last quarter when every other player has tried out and the game was already over.

He did play a very good quieter of football though. Very hard at it which I like and good second effort.

    TRAINING: Wednesday 15th January 2025

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

    TRAINING: Wednesday 11th December 2024

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
