Jesse will recognise your dog from your avatar Bob, he'll know your dog posts here! :)

He's a smart dog and smarter than many that post here.

Not you though Moonie!

Wasn't Jack Grimes brought in for his first game late in his first or second year at the club? I reckon it was worthwhile for him WJ.

It was the last game of 2008, which IIRC was Grimes's first season. We got pelted that day by Richmond, and it was the farewell game for Jeff White, Adem Yze and Ben Holland.

Fair call.

But I reckon Saty can fight his own battles.

It was a general discussion. Group hug?

Anyway, doesn't seem to have had any impact on Jesse's allegiance to Melbourne given recent news. He's obviously willing to put up with another 3 years of in-jokes from crazed Demonlanders.

I think you and Machsy really do need to revisit that specialist about those feelings of inadequacy you both keep getting, as I have said many times before, don't read my posts, it won't make me tear-up, I have stopped reading both of yours unless there is something like the above which needs clarifying

Not trying to make you tear up, but there's a palpable sense of self-importance there, and it makes you say silly things.

Why you feel the need to tell the kid he has "30 pages of nervous posters" rattling about his health, is beyond me.

I don't think the kid is ignorant, but I also don't think he needs to hear this stuff from a fanboy hanging over the fence.

It's just weird.

Agreed, M.

I genuinely enjoy your training reports, Saty and I thank you for them, but the irony in the above post is, it's your own ego/insecurities that annoy me. Happy to read your posts when they're not either 1) lampooning other posters for having a different view to your own or 2) pumping your own tyres up. Unfortunately, some of your posts tend to fall into these two categories.

PS. I hate making things about ourselves. We're here to discuss the MFC, let's just try and do that.

It's just a difference of opinion guys.

I cringe. He doesn't.

The end.

You have posted twice more on the subject after saying "the end" simply prolonging the garbage that these threads descend in to.

Stop.

I never thought it would.

I just get a sense of chagrin when I read that stuff.

My issues obviously.

That you would say such a thing fills me with chagrin. Clearly you don't read Demonland enough:

Didn't Chagrin play for Melbourne in the late 80s? Dean or something or other?

Not getting mixed up with Schadenfreude? Holger was it? Only played that one game, tragic what happened.

A lot of people managed to find some joy in that tragedy...

Where is the hindsight?

A poster on here saw him having treatment on his back before the Geelong game, that game exacerbated the injury, Hogan won't play for a further 2 months and counting.

That was a poor decision to play a 19 year old key position player in a practice match with a sore back.

We all make innocent mistakes - this was one.

And I understand that all players don't go into games 100% - he's a 19 year old blue-chipper in a practice match.

I am sure they are happy to wear the criticism.

Here is the confirmation - the club made a mistake - whodathunk it?

Hogan said his back injury came to a head when he played for Melbourne against Geelong in the club’s second NAB Challenge match in Alice Springs, back in February.

“It was a bit sore going into the game, but the physios insisted it was just tightness. I was training as though I was feeling OK and I was a bit aware of it, but it affected me during the game in the third quarter, when I tried to kick it,” he said.

“My whole body seized up and I’ve gone ‘this isn’t tightness’. I basically couldn’t run in the last quarter and then I woke up the next morning and I was basically the same – I was just stiff.

Damn you rpfc, I just saw the thread title and dropped my cup of tea. Thought he was injured again.

;)

Dangerous drinking tea - you could get a nasty scald. Better with a good red - far safer.

Wine stains worse than tea though, if you drop it.

Thread dead almost 2 years, bumped for one snarky comment about someone not rating a player.

Is it possible for someone to be reported for petulance?

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
