When in 2nd gear he's serviceable. But he makes errors befitting of the club.

Last year it seemed possible, a maybe, but this year it's a formality: he's been Melbourne'd.

Picks #1 and #2 with Roosy's recruiting nouse and team, sounds tantalising.

The fact we are discussing this in Round 2, doesn't.

If this year we wooden spoon, can't get Dawes on the park, Clark retires, Frawley leaves, and Hogan still hasn't signed by year's end, I'd say we have a strong argument for a priority pick too. Might be a nice parting gift from Demetriou, given the draft tampering for his precious expansion clubs has robbed us of so much talent over the last 6 years (but admittedly our recruitment's been awful regardless of the expansion clubs).

What a terrible game today. I'm so depressed. Why have we had such a long run of bad luck? Why are all our forwards injured or psychologically unfit at the start of a new season? All we can look forward to is a better second half of the season or a wooden spoon and yet more draft picks who are not guaranteed to be any good at all...

I won't say Frawleys gone but I will be very surprised if he stays. I mean look at the [censored] this team serves up year after year, were rusted on tragics who were for the most part born into this and have no choice but for a player entering the prime/back end of his career why would he waste it playing for a club who may play finals before he retires? He would fit in well at any of Hawthorn, Gold Coast, Richmond, Carlton, Essendon, Geelong etc etc all of who can make a legitimite sell that they can have a crack at a flag with him in the team.

Some really uneducated opinions here on Frawley.

Wasn't great early on, but still one of the best players on our list, and works harder than most peaheart supporters realise.

you dont watch do you ? If you did you wouldnt say that.

If people are talking about Frawley leaving, and having the right to do so, then they should also walk from the club.

Frawley is a senior player and is supposed to be leading by example and helping Jones drag this this team out of the hole it's in.

He plays like a defeatest and he makes the most simple of errors which proves that he's either not switched on enough during game day, or he is simply not playing within 'his own' limitations.

He needs a rocket up his arse. I don't know where his head is at but he needs to take a leaf out of his Captains book and start firming up as a senior clubsman and not some self-interested [censored] who plays his own game during matches.

Of course I bloody well watched.

I'm just obviously a better judge of his performance.

sorry not sure what this suggests. Of course he has the right to self determination.

other points reasonable but his is odd...sorry

Anyone that didn't realise we'd get beaten like this at times this season, has been living in fairy land.

just thought itd be the exception...not a burgeoning norm

As part of the collective bargaining argeement he sure does have the right to leave. It makes no sense for you to state people should stop supporting the club because they believe he will leave and has the choice to leave, and if most were in his position would do so too. I am a MFC person, my father was, his father before him (until the turning) and I will stay one even as this club erodes my enjoyment for the game. I will not leave it.

I reckon he's already gone, his mind is not on the game and all he is thinking about is going to Hawthorn, IMO no great loss.

His form has been really questionable these two games. He hasn't shown himself to be much of a leader. If we get a first round pick for him between 1 and 5, we'll do alright. Roos will use it as trade bait to get another senior player.

Also of the mindset that last week was really the make or break match to stamp the beginning of a new era for the MFC, and we completely f***ed it up. Now we're 0-2 and I fear by next week 0-3. Frawley's mind just won't be in it.

Frawley has the right to leave. But he is still playing like carp right now. So right now on current form if he wanted to leave I would trade him. He has to show some fight or he will be like Dustin Martin last trade period. No club will want him. I hope he stays but only If he pulls his finger out and finds form.

I wouldn't trade all of them I would keep 1 and if we had 1,2,3 I would trade both to good clubs for a ready made and their first pick in the Teens. But only Round 2, as bad as today was I still expect some improvement over the next 21 rounds

Spot on. Exactly what I'd do.

Its not a case of being loyal....Frawley will leave because of his own sanity.

Its soul destroying to be a Demon.

Just heard on SEN.. That the figures coming out for Frawley is around the 800k - 900k mark.. Can't see him staying.

i have been underwhelmed by his performances so far this season. Not to the standard of a player worth that much. He was nigh on invisible during our pathetic first quarter against WC. The last thing we need is him to put himself into self imposed cotton wool for the remainder of the season. Brian Lake was playing like shite on the infrequent occasions when he did play for two seasons and hence a destabilising force before he wriggled off to the Hawks.

I wouldn't pay 800-900k for chip, but it does mean we would certainly get band 1 compo which at this stage would be pick 2 if he leaves

It's disconcerning but I'm hopeful of a resurgence on field this season. Whilst the performance on the weekend is alarming, and there is no excuses for poor basic fundamentals, they can do better as a team. As long as there is hope and better performances around the corner, Frawley can still remain a Demon.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
