Sure, this is a short clip made specifically for our consumption, but if it typifies Roosy's normal modus operandi, then it's easy to see why he's held in such high regard as a people manager and player developer. I loved the constant encouragement of the players, the positive reinforcement for things well done, and the clear instructions set in context of what was unfolding on the field or what had happened moments earlier. And he did it from the field of play, not from outside the boundary while sucking on a coffee. Time will tell, but to me it's hard not to see the players thriving in this environment.

Yeah i know

I like the muppet in a self deprecating kinda way.

Bleasy, Byrnesy, Maxy, Matty, Kenty, Georgy, Wattsy. Classic Roosy.

By the way he's mentioned 3 times in the first 20 seconds I do get the feeling Blease is a massive pet project of Roos. If he can fix Blease he can coach just about anyone.

Don't you just love being corrected on a mythical creature.

I think that image is actually a Gawndog about to eat a strumpet.

Was music to my ears.

Would be interesting to see one of Mark Neeld to contrast the two different attitudes

You're mistaken my friend, Neeld didn't run the trainings, he was to important, he just did the main show whilst Craig was the matinee show

wonder just how much negative things actually go on, ie how much editing do they have to do

Is it just me or do those dees caps Roos is wearing make it look like they have two caps on?

I loved the clip. Looking forward to the sequel.

I would prefer the sound grab of one of the breaks in the intra club - that was just running commentary of a few good things Roosy saw (and we didn't see).

I know Neeld was professionally a 'Teacher' but Paul Roo's is actually a "teacher."

Brilliant stuff.

That dumb funt neeld was neither a "teacher" nor a "Teacher". The fact that he is in anyway associated with the noble order of pedagogues disturbs me greatly.

On the other hand, Roos looks to be exactly what a football 'teacher' should be. Hands on, instructive, demonstrating, encouraging, hard when need be and, importantly, with a clear view to the bigger picture.

PS. A friend of mine taught English to Mark Neeld in what is now VCE. She said he still has essays outstanding from over 20 yrs ago. He was apparently a bit of a smart rrrse. Ironic that he became a school teacher.

If he is talking to Watts in Part 2 it is really interesting hearing him telling him to run, run, run, up and back. That seems to be the message to the whole team but especially to Watts. If he can do that, watch this space. Love how simple and direct his instructions are.

No it wouldn't we all know what MN was like hence why he ain't there no more.

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the

We'll break down the Match SIM against North Melbourne and wrap up the preseason with insights into training and our latest recruits. I apologize for skipping our annual season review show at the end of last season. After a disapponting season filled with off-field antics and a heated trade week, I needed a break. Thankfully, the offseason has recharged me, and I’m back—ready t
