Neeld weighing up footy comeback

That was like seeing your ex from a relationship that ended horribly. It was very awkward to read and a flood of bad memories accompanied it.
Is Neeldy back in Geelong? Wasn't he the talent manager at Carey? Or Eastern Ranges?

No point sticking the boots into Neeld

No coach would have fared any better with the list and culture we had

And he won the same amount of game in his first year at the MFC as Roos did

You're joking aren't you? You used to carry on like a six year old who had dropped his wowwy pop into the dirt every time his name was mentioned in 2013.

So the MFC went from 8.5 wins in the season before he coached to a 4 win team (3 wins to the expansion teams),

It my understanding that his behaviour towards the MFC team in one particular game is now used as a teaching aid on how not to behave towards AFL teams.

No coach can succeed without the full support of their team. Unfortunately Neeld did not understand this most basic of coaching fundamentals which made him a terrible senior coach.

Can you elaborate a little on the specifics?

Candidate for best people skills he is not.

I agree with what Neeld says.

Just a pity he did not see Ollie Wines as a NEED for the MFC when he was sitting right under our noses.

Well he banged on about wanting players with 'grunt' didn't he, and then didn't actually follow his own philosophy.

Demonland is where all the big questions get asked and answered. Sometimes. So what's a wowwy pop?

It is how a young child with limited pronunciation skills might say 'lolly pop'.

Last I checked Todd Viney selected Toumpas over Wines.

He might have been involved in announcing the selection but he certainly didnt advocate it. So your point would be

Yes I think Todd has to carry the can for the Toump decision over Wines, can't let Neeldy be the decoy.

Where's the proof then? unless you have a direct quote from Viney saying it wasn't his decision I think its people trying to find more excuses on Neeld.

I remember hearing Wines mother get interviewed by ABC grandstand last year and she said the most clubs that showed a lot of interest were St Kilda and Hawthorn. to the point where they drove up to Echuca and did numerous of interviews. No mention of the dees whatsoever.

This story has been going around for a while and no one has come up with any proof of it being correct. I'm happy to can Neeld for the things he got wrong and if this is one of them so be it but at the moment it sits as Viney's decision.

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
