dobsons. I used to run up stairs as a kid to watch the trains. Now I've gone and given my game away. I'm no reformed and living in the west.

Newport?

Hmm looks like he could play midfield

Maybe we should get him at pick 57 ?

you posted on the wrong thread, this should be on the clichés page

no but close. Yville

I am curious how many fellow Demons live in the western suburbs. I tend to see more Geelong supporters out this neck of the woods than Dees which is sad.

Hated Schwab's collars from day one. Good bloody riddance.

Hate Schwab's emblem as well, but if it stays it stays.

I have recently spent a considerable sum for a jumper with my name, in very small print but centrally placed, upon it. It has a collar and stars as has the insurance company version and the one with the [censored] energy saving sponsor on the back. Badge of honour or clear indication of personal stupidity and/or club turmoil.

As a nine year old I sat at the front of the second level of the Lady's Stand and watched our last premiership. In 87 my brother and I sang the club song from early in the last quarter as we demolished North and South and then sat distraught at Waverly in the fickle hot north wind as the Hawthorn thugs stole their victory.

I still have a jumper from my childhood. It is wool and has many holes around the seams and the blue is dark and the red is deep. It is not Fitzroy maroon lite it is deep blood red.

Let it be so.

Well that's great, but the colour is integral to the medium, so unless you want us running out in a woollen jumper again, it'll be very difficult, if not impossible, to match that red.

Altona north, or South Yarraville as I like to refer to it as :)

The suburbs tend to melt into each other as you pass down Melbourne/Williamstown Road don't they? :D

Is the land west of that Maribyrnong creek actually inhabited?

What by humans ?

I don't care too much for the collar and stars, I'm not a fan per say but I'd much rather see the putrid away jumper gone and redesigned.

While we are hitting all the touchstones while in the sandpit - what design would you like for the away jumper?

I believe Romsey and Macedon is where the Marybyrnong River starts doesn't it Bitty?

Your point being?

I guess my next question would be: is it to the west of the Marybyrnong river? if so, there is the answer to your question.

Anything would be better than a cheap Sydney Swans rip off.

Ideally I would love to see the white completely gone (exc. the traditional white shorts). My personal choice would be the old royal blue and bright red, or alternatively those colours inverted with a blue neck/ chest and red body. I'm also a fan of the old clash jumpers we used a few years ago from 2004 - 2007, and 2009.

Although with the way things have gone it appears white (or grey in Essendon's case) is a must.

So in that case I would hope the club can re-introduce a Demon of some form and place it on a white jumper in a similar fashion to Hawthorn's 2011 clash jumper (which didn't look too bad). It would look far better than the garbage they wear now.

What would be your choices if a change was to be made rpfc?

On an off note I still find it ridiculous that Essendon have been allowed to use the grey and not white. Anyone suffering from protanopia or deuteranopia (2 forms of colour blindness and one of the key reasons clubs have been ordered to convert to white) would struggle to distinguish between Richmond and Essendon players, the black vs. grey respectively being the only variant as red would look yellow or mustard to anyone suffering from one of the conditions. That club could get away with murder if they tried.

When I have time I'll photoshop what our jumper would look like to anyone suffering from one of the three conditions of colourblindness, off the top of my head the only real clash would be with the WCE.

I don't care. I'm sorry. I don't.

Every clash strip is going to offend someone - the perfect clash strip is an oxymoron.

Why did you ask in the first place? That doesn't make sense mate.

But fair enough, and yes it will always offend someone. Although it should at least predominantly feature in club colours or represent the brand (e.g. A demon). The current one has/ does neither.

I could picture a trident on a jumper but a cartoon Demon, I don't think so.

Personally I actually don't mind the clash jumper. If they allowed us to wear blue shorts with it then it would look much better. However, if they did permit us to use red as the primary colour, then I think something like this would look decent. I really like the MFC crest. Should be utilised more often.

If that was our clash jumper the demon shop would sell out in minutes !!! I love it.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
