As everybody agrees, he was a great clubman and a great leader and leading mark but he could never kick. Lets hope that he is an understudy because I am sure that he has nothing to impart to Dawes, Clark, & Co.

Ironically, in his second or third last year at the MFC he was top 5 in he AFL for set shot conversion. Couldn't take a contested mark for **** though. Was always one of the fittest on the list, and clearly had a great work ethic.

I will be surprised if they are both uninjured.

Health has not been their long suits the last couple of years.

Nothing to impart hey?

If posters think that playing ability begets coaching ability - then smarter people than you hired the current grand final coaches.

So, what has Brad Miller been doing throughout 2013? Has he been an assistant coach anywhere (not just AFL)? Or has he been doing the coaching diploma course?

He has been playing at Heidelberg in the Northern Footy League, not sure if he had something to do with coaching there? He must have been involved with an AFL club or did some kind of study.

Give us a run down FBPO!

Yeah he's not happy at all. Has asked for an apology from Colless re the report about poaching from the academy. Also can't understand why the Swans are refusing to allow Dew to be interviewed for the 2IC role.

MFC now targeting Stuart Dew but Swans will not release him.

Been dev. coach and assistant coach with the Swans last 4 years.

Swans could be retracting the "congratulations Paul Roos" press release.

Jacey absolutely spot on with this!

Good Work.

Assuming you're right about that, why on earth was he appointed in the first place and how did he remain coach for almost four years?

It was the same kind of lunacy that saw Schwab re-appointed for 3 years just before sacking him is it not?

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the
