The game where he earnt his place on the demonland banner thank god, I was worried he'd be jinxed

Players like Viney, Hogan and Toumpas who seriously hurt after a loss, hate losing and not getting the best out of themselves. That is where our future is. Anyone that doesn't fit this future can go as far as I am concerned and this includes Mr Watts.

I think you are right big fella.

This is why I am excited for our future.... Viney, to me, seems like the type of man that pushes his team mates and him self to be the absolute best they can be.. he is a culture setter.

There was a moment today where a couple of vigorous Viney efforts visibly lifted team mates around him. It increased their appetite for tackling at that particular stoppage. It was brilliant. LEADERSHIP. He's a little ripper.

Makes me so angry that this kid hasnt got to play in a win yet.

Hopefully the final round we smash the Bulldogs and Jack can sing the song finally

A class below.

Just as good as him, make no mistake.

if Viney was playing for another club we would be praising him as the second coming of Joel Selwood/Michael Voss.

Clearances per game

Jack Viney - 5.1

Jaeger O'Meara - 4.8

Oliver Wines - 2.8

Skill wise I agree but it's like comparing Selwood to Hodge. Viney will never have the footskills of O'Meara, but Jaeger will never have the heart or courage of Jack. I'd like both but I'm more than content that by the end of their careers they'll be compared to each other.. Which for both I think is a huge compliment.

Jesse Hogan tweeting that Jack has been nominated for Rising Star.

Now deleted too, mightve let the cat outta the bag early, i remember richmond (jack reiwoldt) letting out early last year and got blasted by AFL

I've been following him since he was 8, so it's fair to say I'm a fan. And it's no slight to say O'Meara is better. O'Meara is the best young midfielder I've ever seen.

Each to their own.

Jaeger O'Meara looks like the product of Soviet Russian genetic engineering, whereas Jack Viney looks like a young man who was raised with wolves.

Who would win? God knows, but you can bet I wouldn't want to come between them and a football.

And even he will be surpassed by Jack Martin.

The Suns are going to have one hell of an engine room.

Agree, and I don't think it is a put down to Jack in anyway, O'Meara for me is up there with Judd for 1st year impact, Viney for us is exactly what we need and will be a quality player, leader & culture maker for this club.

MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
