The Bombers are prepapring for the conclusion.

Added to the list are senior players Cooney, Gwilt, Giles and McKernan plus a couple of decent draft picks who could play this year.

Several in the 34 have left the club. Others are reserves players.

The impact has lessened over the last 2 years.

Plus I remember reading that they have been doing a bit of recruiting for their VFL team in preparation for any "doomsday scenario"

Players will be banned, the AFL and the Drugs are obviously hoping to avoid such doomsday scenarios, but preparing for it is admitting theyre expecting it. The only group that will be blind sighted by such an occurrence are the supporter group- the poor, stupid and gullible supporters who think they've done nothing wrong, ASADA and the AFL have it in for them and the sun still shines out of Hird's arse.

I can't wait to see the shock on their stupid faces when come round 1 their team will comprise 60% VFL players, and the rest of the footballing community lay the boots into their smashed egos as their arrogance turns to hubris very quickly.

So why does this not occur more often, there are examples of coaches getting sacked every year for doing a lot less then Hirdy. The board can sack the coach any time they wish they could sack him tomorrow and say they wanted to go in a different direction with a new coach, sure they will have to pay out his contract but breach of contract, damage to reputation and loss of future earnings is a bit of a stretch.

If you are aware of similar cases being won by AFL coaches where they have sued for damage to reputation and loss of future earnings etc I would love to hear about them.

I think the issue re hirds contract is the EFC getting rid of him based on what they already knew upon extending his contract.

I now understand the meaning of these words from "A Day in the Life" off the same album. I've Hird the words a thousand times before but they only make sense now:-

They had to count them all

The holes were made by needles!!!

I think you mean the Deakin University lecturer who I've made reference to in this thread on a few occasions.

Apparently, not a bad barrister but he's one of those Essendon supporters who can see no wrong with anything the club's done in the past 3 or 4 years. Sad case.

This is indeed extraordinary stuff in the context of the case that's about to come before the AFL Tribunal. Hardie isn't arguing whether the players were given TB4. Instead, he's arguing on its status and says ASADA needs to prove why this is so.

Try reading between the lines as to why a barrister, law lecturer, former adviser to the Bombers and a confidant of Stephen Dank is coming from this angle?

Mind boggling!

Wow, it reads as if Dank is admitting the players tool TB4.

Can the interview be admitted in evidence if Dank refuses to appear if called at the Tribunal?

From the posts made after one of the HUN's items on ASADAgate (by Diane):

Hamilton was in charge of Robinson, Dr Reid, Dr De Morton and Dank. These 4 people had to report to Hamilton and not Hird. Hird was told Dank had a vial of Hexarelin in his fridge and ordered him to get rid of it. Hird reported the matter to Hamilton. Thompson ripped into Dank 30 minutes after Hird had admonished him.Robinson sent Dank an SMS reminding him that he could not administer injections. In reply Dank stated, ‘I can use vitamin injections. The doc is happy with that. I need to fight for Cerebrolysin.
4 September 2012 – Dank left Essendon
11 December 2012 – Dank, who had joined Melbourne, organised a meeting with two senior Melbourne people and Alavi to discuss the possibility of Alavi supplying supplements as part of a sponsorship.
There is so much more that the media dont want you to know, but as a detective. I would have thought you would do your due diligence and investigate everything. Not just what the media feeds you.

AFL still in crisis over Dons supplements saga, writes Graham Cornes.

There hasn't been a bigger load of shlt written about this for a while.

Always good to see it when people prove beyond doubt they are total idiots,

Well done Graham.

Hang on a bit I'm trying to my head around this . . I got Hamilton (he's been missing in the conversation of late!) he is in charge of Robinson, right! . . and then there's De Morton (who is this man?) and Reidy, good old Reidy, OK got that, but they don't report to Hirdy ah yep! . . but then Hirdy finds some Hexarelin in the fridge . . yep (again) . . and then Hirdy yells at Dank "this stuff has got to go!" Dank says where should I put it? Hirdy say's "let's try injecting it into my ass!" . . that makes Doc Reid happy. .then (to cut along story short) they all sign a big sponsorship deal with the Dees!

If I'm reading this right the Dons could well be off the hook!

Yes - as he has in the past. (The famous McKenzie interview).

I believe so.

I'm really hoping ASADA has enough evidence and the players get suspended. If they don't, the smugness of that football club will be too much to handle. Take Slobbo's tweet from a few days back as a reference.

"Perfect storm for ASADA and AFL if case falls over, as expected, and Hird wins fed court appeal declaring investigation unlawful #uhoh"

Multiply this smugness by a million if the Bombers actually get off.

Disregard what the media ( well the fanboy element ) have been suggesting and go to the actuallities of whats happened. There's a clear line of direction.

The club ( efc ) and cohorts are desperate, beyond desperate really as they realise the end is nigh.

There's is a propaganda machine...and that only

Slobbo is most likely a drunken idiot with a disproportionate ideal of his own words.

Most political parties would be proud of the disinformation, mud slinging, pay offs and underhanded tactics the slimey messydrugs FC have used.Unfortunately for them the only gullible marks they have conned are their own kool aid mixed with bath water sipping fanbois.

Will make the inevitable outcome all the more enjoyable.

SS, you have no need to worry. It won't happen, but it may take longer than everyone thinks.

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team.
