I wouldn't be opposed to looking at delzeil delisted eagle. Played 17 games, averaged 16 disposals and kicked 15 goals. Kinda surprised he got delisted.

Just a better Nicholson. All he does is run around in circles and gather the ball and either kick short or turn it over. I'm hoping with who we've brought in and the draft that Dalziell wouldn't be a guy who improved us.

the top 11 have already been sorted.

all the clubs have worked out who they are going to get, and have discussed it amongst themselves.

I think we will go for Crouch on pure feriouciousness, ala todd viney.

then we will make a serious play for his brother.

avg of 38 possesion a game, the guy is a freak, and he has a freakier big bro.

crouch is the one, it even written on the walls of mfc.com. why would you do that if it aint a sure thing.

good on ya viney, you learnt fast after the 'wines' incident.

Who wants a player called bottompoozie?

I'm not good with remembering posters and their contributions, so forgive me for the question, but is ^^ this guy ^^ this guy ?

You are reading too much into what is on the club website.

The AFL have a certain control over what is on the website, just because it is on there doesn't mean we put it there.

And it certainly doesn't mean that 10 clubs come together before the draft and tell each other who they are going to draft.

That is laughable.

avg 38 possesions per game.

have you seen how he hunts the ball?

ofcourse we should grab him. he would immediately be our biggest possession winner..

and please,, dont give me talk about salem. crouch destroys him.

crouch is our man.

and dont be surprised if club recruiters are talking to each other. ofcourse they are. they have a fair indication of who is going where.

why else would wce give up pick 6 when they desperately want sheed. he will be their next captain.

a gentlemans agreement has been formed, and the first round has already been scripted, almost.

I just hope we don't draft Sheed, the first chance he gets he will leave to go play for Meth Coke

THe notion that some clubs make handshake agreements on the draft isn't that far-fetched. We did something similar last year to get Viney into the second round. It would need to be more complicated with the number of players involved this time, but I can believe that there is a rough understanding between at least a few of the recruiters.

Every post the guy makes is a really poor attempt at trolling.

Has never once added to a discussion.

Scripted??

Haha righto then.

If you say so.

Will be shocked if Crouch goes before pick 15, but he will not be coming to MFC.

Bank it.

Disappointed to see Taggert delisted. Thought the kid had some potential, still i've always been a crap judge of talent.

They might just rookie him. If not, he couldn't break into the worst midfield in the history of the game, not a big loss. Paul Roos has spoken.

I agree and although it is disappointing that Taggert was delisted i would surely put faith in Paul Roos and Co,s knowledge of young emerging football talent

That's why Emma Quayle is predicting we will go for Ben Lennon. Good choice IMHO.

Boyd and possibly Kelly aside, it seems to me that this is one of the least predictable drafts in many years.

It's almost certain that there will be some very good players still in the mix at pick 9.

Pick 2 and Tyson for pick 9 was an absolute no brainer.

That was between us and GWS with the latter obviously telling GC that it would be best for their chances of getting Martin that they play along.

It wasn't 10 clubs coming together for a giant conspiracy of silence that Fox Mulder would think is a 'far-fetched'...

The more I think about it, the more Freeman looks like another Nicholson.

You do realise Freeman can actually kick and dispose of the ball quite handily...unlike.....

So hows the conspiracy theories going btw

LOL by far the worst comparison going around.

Your saying we should get Crouch yet he cant kick, not a big endurance base at all for a midfielder, very slow, and lacks the work ethic at training.

Please.

38 possessions a game.

Apparently, once he gets those possessions, he is very effective with spotting up another player.

Too many of you are preoccupied with icing, instead of the cake. Crouch IS the cake. So is Freeman, but he looks like a dasher to me, much like Nicholson. And remember back to when Nicholson first started playing games for MFC, and bombed goals from outside 50. He plays a very similsr game to Freeman.

What cant be doubted is the uncanny absolute ball winning ability of Crouch. He has the appetite for dominance, and could always dish it to the outside Toumpas, Blease or Watts.

Crouch is our man.

No point getting it 38 times when you cant hit a target which is part of Crouch problem. Might aswell have kept Tom Couch or James Magner.

Crouch will slide.

Freeman is 5 times better then crouch in terms of his inside and out and ability to explode from packs and hit targets. He is also a maniac around the contest like Jack Viney and you will see that when we draft him at 9.

Btw Nicholson was never bombing goals from outside 50 you just made that up which proves your lack of football knowledge kn our players.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
