WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - PAUL ROOS

I understand where you are coming from.........but I would not want my salary (when I was working) splashed all over the papers.....Players and fd's have the same rights as every day workers....Do they not?.....

Nor mine. Do shareholders get told what their executives are getting paid? Should they be told?

We are in a socialised compeition where the disparity seems to be increasing between those at the top and bottom.

Transparency over contracts would benefit the desire to even up the league.

Players can compare themselves to others and the underpaid players that Hawthorn are cramming in will look at what others are on at other clubs and ask questions and look to get market value - and that desire is what drives a good salary cap regulated league.

Players moving around, getting market value, evening the competition.

Anyone got a new rumour and if not can they make one up?

Paul Roos has turned down the Melbourne job to take on an even bigger challenge:

Leader of the Labor Party. Labor are hoping that with his sudden appointment as PM, it will help boost their popularity to victory on Saturday. Roos will be sworn in as PM and cast his vote simultaneously on Saturday morning...

Is this true? Which electorate?

Lindsay in NSW up against Fiona Scott. He doesn't think the traffick's as bad as she does...

Apparently he was on a 5am flight to Perth recently and also bought a mansion there. Surely an electorate there?

On a serious note, would Roos use M Voss as an assistant? Reading todays Aged makes me think we could get a bargain.

I would love to see that, if for no other reason than the fact that the Lions unceremoniously dumped Voos to make way for Roos and now they might have the pleasure of watching their former coach and prospective coach working together at the MFC.

I don't get this need for grown adults to be close to the place where they grew up. I don't reckon proximity to Albury would have any relevance to his decision to relocate to Melbourne. That Melbourne is a much more interesting city to Perth would, however, probably be more of a factor - notwithstanding the career factors which I expect would be tantamount. Just my view obviously.

Given you probably don't know him that's understandable. I made that comment with some knowledge.

What is going to happen if there ain't no presser called tomorrow guys and gals?

Don't think I could live through another day like these last few.

It's not worth contemplating.

I'm struggling with this level of distraction right now but can live with it because it's during the work week. I will be very upset if the distraction continues through the weekend during leisure time.

I don't want to taking time out from reading to my son to check deemonland, but it'll happen. And I will hate every minute of it until the announcement materialises.

Relax, if not tomorrow over the weekend.

Confirmation of a Liberal Landslide and Roos to Dees would make an awesome weekend for me!!!!!!!!!!!

I urge you to hang in there Demon Ox. I imagine that living through another day like these last few, is one hell of a lot better than dying through a similar period.

    GAMEDAY: Rd 13 vs Collingwood

It's Game Day and the Demons are once again faced with a classic 8 point game against a traditional rival on King's Birthday at the MCG. A famous victory will see them reclaim a place in the Top 8 whereas a loss will be another blow for their finals credentials.

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

The Demons head back to Melbourne after an embarrassing loss to the Dockers to take on the Magpies at the MCG on Kings Birthday. With a calf injury to Lachie Hunter and Jacob van Rooyen possibly returning from injury who comes in and who goes out?
