It is a shame. But there is only one person to blame....

I'm thinking Caroline Wilson.

As for LJ I couldn't give a crap. He had my full support and sympathy until the moment he walked out on the club.

Cameron Schwab?? Oops for a minute there I thought I was Caroline Wilson!

Such a talent. I hope it works out for him, after the joy he gave us supporters during some bleak times. Gotta say, though, drink driving is self imposed stupidity.

Very sad. Some people find themselves in places where alcohol is the only way out. I don't know where he is truly at, so this is conjecture but I fear Liam is at that place. Drink to forget, drink to socialise, whatever the dynamics of this incident it doesn't sound good.

He was supposed to play at Port Magpies this year but hasnt turned up to one training session.

Id be shocked if he ever played AFL again.

Waste of a talent, unfortunately you cannot help some people

Allegedly blew 0.27, five times the limit.

Also could we change the name of the thread to get his name right although he doesn't deserve it

Surely there is a lot of humble pie to be eaten around the AFL community in regards to Matt Rendells comments earlier this year.

Will be lucky to even play a whole year of SANFL footy.

Sad to hear, I was dissapointed he left but it now looks like his life is going down the gurgler. Hope he can pull himself out of it but it will take a hell of a lot of character.

Staggering comment. Especially coming from you DD!

I know this is being said in hindsight but I was always concerned when he made the decision to go to Adelaide. I understand that it was his call and that he has a large family there who would be well nigh impossible to relocate to Melbourne and that there is a large part of the Yuendumu community living in exile there but I can't help but think he might have been better off being looked after by his mentor Rude Boy whilst remaining in training under an AFL regimen.

I hope he gets through this safely and can return to his original task when he first came here four years ago. It ain't going to be easy.

Was one of my all time favourites jurrah but as much as I don't wanna be a full on racist the lack off indigenous players drafted this year showed why and I think his comments were actually spot on.. Dayle Garlett is a perfect example and I think clubs are just really not interested anymore in looking out for players like jurrah, zeph skinner etc that come out from the outback knowing in 3 years later they will just walk out on the club.

It really is a sad affair with Jurrah as this bloke could have been just as good as Michael O'Loughlin . Jurrah has natural freakiness about him that could pull people through the gates. I really do miss jurrah in the red and blue but he is one of many Aboriginal footballers that just aren't worth the risk anymore.

Poor attitude from a Senior Citizen.

Sad but so very very true.

We gave him an enormous opportunity to progress his own, and his peoples' cause and raise the profile of those from these incredibly remote communities........and he blew it, not once but twice and more.

He has set back the cause of his people many years: brand me a racist if you will, but clubs, with limited list space and "cultures" to develop, just cannot afford such risks.

PS: What a bloody incredible excitement machine he was in the R&B. What a waste.

Can't really believe anyone would be so stupid. Gives a little insight into the culture and peer pressures that people from these remote communities are involved in. But there comes a point in time where someone has to take responsibility for their own actions, especially when given the opportunities Liam has had. He is obviously an ordinary bloke and I honestly hope he gets the book thrown at him, not that I think that will help the situation.

Very sensitive topic but as I said, take some responsibility for your actions. Could have easily mowed down a pedestrian driving that [censored].

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
