No takers for Gay Bar then? Surprising.

How about Russell Robertson singing the national anthem? That's enough to send anyone into a rage.

The boys can throw some coins into his guitar case as they run past.

According to an MFC tweet every team runs out to a song. I have been going to the footy for a very long time and have never heard this. I have heard songs played beforehand but thats just to pass time. I know at the storm games they have thunderstruck playing.

They want a song that pumps the crowd and players up. Well if the players need more of a pump up after neeldys pre game address then god help them.

How about playing to win. How ironic.

If, we formed an alliance with them, the Melbourne Org, we could share the Thunder on entry.

^ Immortal!

One a serious note when I played (and it wasn't much and I wasn't good) I tried to listen to "pump up" music and I ran around like a headless chook. But when I listened to some soft music to calm me down like opera or something I played a lot better. I found I was more focused when I was calm...

Should work for watts anyway

Hard as a Rock ---- AC/DC

A Neeld specialty ........ and complements the Storm's Thunderstruck

Its pumps, its modern and it isn't old man crap.

I like it Chook - just checked them out on Spotify and listening to the Diplo remix. Great stuff

The only song I want to hear at MFC games is "A Grand old Flag " after winning games.

Just play that 10 times next year and I will be ecstatic!

Nothing. No ads, no crappy pop music, no opposition song, how about an under 18 game, it's a grand old flag and then the footy. Silence from the speakers at the breaks. I pay to go to the footy, why do I need to have my ears assaulted with crap?

Can I like this post more than once? Like a hundred times?

How about that song that Celine Dion sang when that lovely young couple were standing on the front of that big boat? That was a nice song.

Or how about something by the Bangles? The crowd could sing along. If we could somehow change to words to "just another manic Saturday" ... on second thoughts, "just another Sunday afternoon/twilight". You get the idea.

Or, how about an Aussie song. Surely there's room for an Aussie song? "There's a track winding back to an old fashioned shack" ... I think that one was about the Junction oval.

Or has anybody mentioned that song from that boxing movie? "That's the size of the tiger", something like that. Sung by that poor bloke whose jocks must have been a bit tight. He sounded like he'd swallowed a jalapeno at the same time.

Could be the Demonland theme song at the games?

"Boy it make-a me sick, everyting I gotta do

I can'ta getta no kicks, always gotta follow rules

Boy it make-a me sick, just to make-a lousy bucks

Gotta a feela like a fool

And the mama used to say all the time, What'sa matter you, hey, gotta no respect

Whatta you tink you do, why you looka so sad

Itsa not so bad, Itsa nice-a place, Ahh shaddupa you face"

    TRAINING: Wednesday 19th February 2025

Demonlander The Analyser was the sole Trackwatcher out at Casey Fields today to bring you the following observations from this mornings preseason training session. Training  was at Casey today. It consisted of a match simulation for one half  and then a free choice activity time. Activities included kicking for goal,  aerial , contest work etc. I noticed the following players not in match simulation Jack Viney  running laps and looks fine for round one . I think Kolt looks like he’s im

    TRAINING: Wednesday 12th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the scorching morning heat to bring you the following observations of Wednesday's preseason training session from Gosch's Paddock. HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
