Kelly is fit but skinny....cale Morton anyone. Hogan is a beast with endurance. Hogan please

Or Andrew Gaff, Dale Thomas, Stephen Hill, Sean Atley? Outside leg speed with hurt factor that are vital in teams ability to run and carry. But yeah you can ignorantly put him in the skinny fit bust category.

Obviously you don't watch a heap of junior football

According to The AGE

11.08am GWS has played a role in the complex deal which has sent Jack Viney to Melbourne for only a second round draft pick. Gold Coast traded its pick two to GWS for pre-listed 16-year-old Jack Martin, meaning they did not bid for Viney. Michael Gleeson reports that Melbourne has traded its pick three to GWS for WA pre-listed key position star Jesse Hogan. Neither Martin or Hogan will be able to play in 2013, as they are too young, but both are extremely highly-rated. This morning's dealings leave GWS with picks 1,2 and 3 in November's national draft.

IF, and it is a bif IF, this Jesse Hogan is as good as people say and as AFL-ready as people say, then it is worth it. I am unsure about giving away a pick three in a draft that could be one of the best ever but at the very least the Dees recruiters haven't fluffed around. They have examined, planned and goine BANG with thier choices. It all seems very deliberate and strong which I like. But this Hogan better be worth it or there will be blue murder among Dees fans.

And reportedly pick 13 for Caddy..

I like the fact Neeld isn;t going to sit back and wait for development to come but aggressively use the trade period to change the make up the playing list.

COuld be a very interesting few weeks.

Clearly hearsay otherwise she would have just said it herself.

Although, listening to trade radio just now, hutchy and plow discussed that IF this was talked about by GWS, GC and MELB, it could have been done as follows:

GC pass on Viney @ 2 leaving him for us

GC give pick 2 to GWS for Martin

Melb give GWS pick 3 for Hogan

The big question is that "is Hogan worth pick 3 in THIS draft" ? "Is he better than what pick 3 would get us this year"? Trade week radio were saying is possibly not BUT if it was done in the deal to get us Viney at 26, we're essentially paying 3 and 26 for Hogan and Viney which sounds a lot better.

WHy would we give up pick 3 when we could give pick 4, which nobody could outbid us on anyway?

Baffling if true.

But really hope we get Hogan, he will be to impact games from round 1, 2014. Talk about a ready made AFL body and talent.

If its true he grew up a Demon supporter, that just seals the deal.

So who's likely to be available at Pick 4 then? Hope we don't trade it...

If we have traded pick 3 to GWS then i think the chances of us trading pick 4 are next to none! We need a high pick in this draft and i'd say O'rourke/wines would still be available to us at pick 4 :)

Neeld is obviously backing himself to be there in 2014. Which means he must be expecting improvement in 2013.

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res

It's Game Day and the Demons are once again faced with a classic 8 point game against a traditional rival on King's Birthday at the MCG. A famous victory will see them reclaim a place in the Top 8 whereas a loss will be another blow for their finals credentials.

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
