Im over Dunn. 8 years of tease but little demonstrable talent.

I know what he gives and he aint good enough.

The only thing saving him is there is a logjam of similar NQR players that have to go. Its his only saving grace.

In 8 years Dunn has not nailed a position fwd,midfield or back. Its an indictment in such a poor team.

And better record than Stef Martin up forward is setting the bar incredibly low.

As for squibbing, Dunn has always ducked his head going for contest marks.

A little bit of reason amongst this vomit inducing lovefest for Dunn.

Keeping Dunn would only be as a result of some sort of stay of executon , not any real desire to retain. Itll just depend what number is on his pink slip as to whether he stays or goes.

1 year contract for me. I suspect both Jurrah & Bartram may not be there next year which will give Dunn an extra year to show what he's got.

Dunn seems to be a player who plays to a contract. What I mean by this is that he always seems to lift when he knows he's coming out of contract.

In the US it's very common for players to have outstanding years on a 'contract' year to get a new big $$$ deal, and once the job is done go back to being an good average player.

I would put Dunn on a small 1 year contract, with high match payment incentives.

He did it two years ago with a great year before a new deal and has done it again. Don't get sucked in to giving him good money or good years but make him earn the money and force him to bring this level of effort every week.

In terms of the actual question though, there are far worse on the list so keep..... just.

I think the uncertainty of a couple of players in Jurrah and Bartram and the fact that he can be 'utilized' in different positions may work in his favour being a senior player.

The attitude is fake and only comes out when we're on top. He's actually quite soft and squibs contests.

He's not 'strong' defensively; he's adequate. And he can go forward about as well as Stefan Martin.

His long kick shouldn't be enough to keep him.

Defensive Forward, Tagger, 2nd/3rd tall across half back plenty of strings in his bow for depth whilst not being a world beater there are others who should go before him

Dunny has earned another year imo. Given our list as it now stands, we need his experience, size, kicking skills, versatility and the depth that he brings to the playing group. He will never be more than a solid foot-soldier imo, and is likely to be overtaken over the next year or so, but by my reckoning he's a keeper for 2013. My only qualification is that we don't know who we might recruit to the Club via free agency, trade and the draft. Obviously that could change things around a bit.

I answered the vote on what I think will happen rather than my opinion.

He has been selected, been playing relatively well in a poor side and even received cudos on the MFC website yesterday for stepping up his game - this means one of two things:

1. He is genuinely getting some support from the coaches.

2. he is being fattened up for a tasty trade.

if it was the later you'd think you'd also be seeing Morton in the team as well to advertise him.

Dare I say it my feeling is that Dunn gets a role and plays that role to his abilities and always seems to be trying hard - sometimes like he is the only player in the team giving it a crack. My inclination is that Neeld likes Dunn because he does what he is told.

I could name 12+ players that will be gone before he is for mine. he wont be delisted either - he'll be a trade. I think he might pick up some interest.

It's not really specific moments (there have been squibs, I just can't pinpoint their exact matches), but the overall perception Dunn gives is that he's 'tough', when he doesn't do anything tough in a football sense. He struts around and pretends to be an enforcer but when does he ever put his head over the ball and actually attack it?

Actually, I just remembered him last year against North Melbourne, not going for the ball but choosing to go for the player (Pratt, maybe?) and copping a suspension because he took his head out instead. From memory, he chose to bump rather than actually go for the ball.

Point is, I am flabbergasted at the amount of people who have commented on his aggression, which to me is pathetic and just a ruse. But the votes suggest I am in the minority on that one.

Its a yes from me. I reckon he has done enough in the last few weeks to sneak a new contract. I like him up back - one on one he is good, he takes the game on and is a good kick (long too). Has he played up back previously? Another interesting and quite creative move from Neeld.

This does remind me a little of the is Liam Jurrah a star poll - where about 80% voted that he was, but about 70% of people who posted thought that he wasn't.
