Who is flying up as the emergency?

I am surprised that Bail will walk straight into the side after being out for 5 weeks? I didn't think he was a MFC stawlwart. I think he has eperhaps playedone really good game against carlton and a good quarter against the saints.

gosh seller at CHF is a worry. His been a good addition this year but damn, I really don't think his going to be an effective CHF

I agree, only looked truly comfortable when playing in teh back half adn not having to play forward or do too much of the ruck duties.

Bail has been training for the entire time he has been left out with the side effects of concussion. I find it somewhat contradictory that they wouldnt play him as he couldnt pass the concussion test, yet on the other hand would let him participate in full training?!

Blease must really be doing some "un-Neeld-like" things to be dropped this week.

what like takeing shots at goal from acute angles rather than passing to team mates in better positions?

Funny, I thought there were 5 ins? I am assuming that Bennell will either go onto the Emergencies list or at best be the sub.

I hope Bennel just goes away adds absolutley nothing pea heart

Don't know how many times it needs to be said, but sorry, Bennell doesn't pick himself. And I really dislike this term "pea heart", especially when it comes from so called supporters, directed at their own players, and from people who probably wouldn't get a game at any level.

I seem to recall him kicking that goal.

The point is what do the coaches want and what are the team rules in that situation? How many times will he kick that goal vs. the chances of a goal by kicking to the top of the square? He probably shouldn't have ended up with the ball and the kick to the square should have happened one procession beforehand. (believe a commentator made the point on a replay I saw)

Anyway, it was a cracking goal regardless.

Blease should be in this side. The coach/es have stated in every weekly write up that 'he needs to work on his defensive game'. This would be why is being left out. Not the goal.

Happy for him to snag a sausage now and then. Live a little people!!

He is the future and we need his speed. Hopefully he will do what is required to work on this.

Can't wait to see Gysberts and Blease consistently in this side. When deserved.

As for others protesting where players have been put in position (Sellar for example above), it's 2012. You all must listen to Finey go through the team talk like it actually has any relevance.

I've got no problem with Blease taking shots like that until he misses them .

I've got bold type on somehow as well-it's quite exciting .

If you all remember, Blease was dropped for the GWS game but was recalled late as an emergency.

Did he do enough last week to overturn what was probably a poignant dropping?

Probably not.

Therefore, he is out of the team this week for whatever reason he was omitted last week.

He really didn't do much given that he played for a whole half. 1 goal, 7 disposals, 0 marks and 1 tackle. I don't think those numbers are really enough to justify keeping him in the side in hindsight. Didn't Neeld say they have their own set of indicators and players have to score a certain number of points in their system to stay in the side?

That's a Bennell game right there, minus the tackle and the goal

Just wondering...who is going to kick our goals? Clarke, Green and Davey have kicked 38 of the 119 goals this year but not playing. The forward 6 if line up as listed have kicked a total of 33 so far ie 2.5 per game.

Would loooooooooovvvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeeeee to see a Dee win but hard to see us getting enough goals.

Agree with mrtwister about Dunn at FF.

I love Garlo's game generally, but thought he was well overshadowed by Rivers last week. Garlo just doesn't seem to be a natural in the central forward role. Maybe more of a pocket or flanker. So would prefer to see Riv and Garlo swap places in the lineup as selected, moved to a flank and Dunny in FF.

Sellar has been a disappointment up forward, but better down back. I even think he has done ok in the ruck when tried there. What has most annoyed me is the number of marks he drops, which made him useless as a forward. Have to say though, he has started to grab a few more since going down back and the % is slowly rising. On that basis, I am hopeful he can provide a better showing up forward now.

Has Blease signed with GWS?

Perhaps he's told Neeld so that he avoids the same treatment his mate got?

just to humour you.....how can blease sign with gws. they are only allowed to signup 1 ooc player per club

their only option would be to trade or take their chances with the ND

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the

GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne

It's Game Day and it very well could be the last roll of the dice for the Demon's finals aspirations in 2024. A loss to the bottom side would be another embarrassing moment in a cursed year for the Dees whilst a win could be the spark they need to reignite the fire in the belly.

    THE HUNTER by The Oracle

Something struck me as I sat on the couch watching the tragedy of North Melbourne’s attempt to beat Collingwood unfold on Sunday afternoon at the MCG.    It was three quarter time, the scoreboard had the Pies on 12.7.79, a respectable 63.16% in terms of goal kicking ratio. Meanwhile, the Roos’ 18.2.110 was off the charts at 90.00% shooting accuracy. I was thinking at the same time of Melbourne’s final score only six days before, a woeful 6.15.51 or 28.57% against Collingwood’s 14.5.89

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t
