Most fist-pump-worthy highlight from last night

Regardless of whether you were at the G, on the couch, at the pub or listening on the radio, everyone would have a moment in last nights game that caused the most enthusiastic fist pump.

Time to share and reminisce

Mine was McDonald's tackle on Zaharakis in the 4th quarter. Absolutely sensational.

Colin Sylvia's goal. Not only did it send the message that we were coming it also proved just how good Col can be.

That goal wasn't about structure, or development, or coaching. It was simply a goal that was kicked by a player with enormous talent deciding to stand up and be counted. I loved it for what it meant to the team, and the player.

Garlands goal in the square

..from a great wait-and-assess-while-harrassed-then-nail-the-option ('waawhtnto') pass from Jones - whose 2nd effort boundry snap earlier on was also brilliant.

Rivers was it for me. The hard body, desperate lunge and clear to a team-mate time an again esp. in the last.

I thought McDonald did some outstanding work last night - a few dodgy disposals, maybe, but that Zaharakis tackle plus another great spoil in 4Q which were both fist pumpers for me.

what about Beamer's long bomb that was pretty nice, or our first for the night which was Lord Howe from the boundary

also liked Watts and Rivers flying the flag after it was clear the Bombers were getting a little rattled by us

garlo lining up for goal looking he had no clue how he got into this position

Watts saving goals about 20 times with little knock-ons bumps and spoils was my favourite though

I was watching in the Bullring as I supersticiously believed that we were better off with us down below.

My moment came late, very late. When we desperately forced that final ball up and I saw the time left on the clock I knew it was over. I think I went sprinting out and down the stairs towards the race screaming "yes!" An amazing roar when the siren went, singing the song with so many others around. What a feeling. What a win.

It never ceases to amaze me how Essendon fans just stream out of the ground once they think they're gone. It's like it's a co-ordinated move, they just pack up and go as one.

I thought it was funny when they left after big Maxy Gawn took that mark in the goal square last year - Gawn missed the shot and the Bombers were still in it.

This year was unbelievable, they all streamed out when Garland took that mark. I've never seen supporters leave when 5 points down with 2 minutes left. And he missed!

Pathetic from those fans after what their team has delivered so far this year. But they've always been terrible losers (which is why it's so much fun beating them!).

Garlo's mark in the goal square and goal, thought we had them at that point. Esp. liked the flat kick at the front row of the Essendon cheer squad.....no malice I'm sure, he is a defender after all, usually kicking it the other way!

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
