MFC players you're most looking forward to watch in 2012

Just thought I'd see what players everybody is most looking forward to see play in 2012. New players getting out on the park, developing players getting more games, older players re-igniting their careers etc.. Grimes- just to see JG play a full season injury free and develop into the player and leader we all know he has the potential to be.

Watts- #1 draft pick that still has a lot more development to go, like what I've seen so far but I know he will get a lot better.

Jurrah- LJ has great X factor and when he is electric to watch. Now that we might actually have some structure and he has some support we might see Liam take it to another level. Here's hoping.

Jones- We all know he's one of the fittest SOB's on our list and he has no problem finding the pill but his disposal could be a bit better, I think this year with better options in front of him chunk might surprise a few.

Moloney/Jamar- The ruck combo of these two guys when they're on is just awesome to watch and gives us first use of the ball.

Who do you most want to see play in the new look demons?

Mitch Clark and Magner.

Although I'm most interested to see how the team performs as a group and how well they can implement Neeld's game plan. I hope it works better than in 2008 when the group struggled to adopt the handball dominated approach implemented by Bailey!

I want to see Bate play in the middle.

I want to see if Grimes can play in the middle and stay uninjured for most of the season.

I want to see most players playing in the positions they have trained for in the pre-season and aren't constantly moved to different positions to fill holes.

I want to see Bennell weave some magic.

After the rocket from Neeld, I'm looking forward to seeing how Davey and Watts take up the challenge. Also looking forward to seeing how the revamped forward line performs as well as Bennell down back... I get the feeling he will have a breakout year. I also look forward to the continued Rise and Rise of Nathan Jones.

I would like to see Grimes play all year in any position.

I was not going to mention him till Aprill but good luck with item no.4

I'm looking forward to Green & Davey playing good footy and proving the doubters wrong - both quality players and both will benifit from a playing in a more structured side

Im looking forward to seeing Trengove further stake his claims as a future A grader

Looking forward to seeing Mitch Clark play in the red and blue, and seeing is Sellar was a punt worth taking?

A good list there Demon WA.

If Green and Davey have good years things will improve considerably.

the guy with the most pressure on him this year is Mitch Clark. Wearing number 11 on his back has done it for him and i really hope he can handle it, and for this reason he is the one i will be keeping a close eye on

Jack Watts will be the surprise package of 2012. I'm very hopeful that with the new culture Neeld and Co are fostering at MFC the likes of JW and the other young blokes with heaps of potential, will finally start coming of age.

Also, I have a strange feeling that Magner will get a fair bit of game time this year. He will be the wrecking ball at clearances we so badly need.

I'm a big Col Sylvia fan, I just want him to have a good consistant year with 5-10 games like he played against Richmond(with out getting reported) last season and like he played against Hawthorn the year before. He can be our big midfield gun in 2012

Aaron Davey returning to his early career form, Jack Watts having a standout year and Jamie Bennell playing consistent, classy footy all year. I will watch Mitch Clark with great interest.

Without doubt, Liam Jurrah. Clearly it takes all types and styles to have a successful team and that is what we all want.

I know a lot of you guys might like to watch the workhorse V8s on the track, but for me I prefer the F1 Ferrari! Players like Liam are why our game is so magnificent.

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
