Just couldn't sneak Morton in the votes tonight...

Another failed test by Bailey, tonight's not gonna help his credentials!

We were clearly outplayed tonight by bigger bodied opponents. It was a 'tired' performance by the Dees, and very hard to find four quarter contributors. My votes:

6. Trengove

5. Watts

4. McKenzie

3. Petterd

2. Jones

1. McKenzie (only for winning the ball. Griffen carved him up tonight).

Spot on.

Martin was good again too.

Petterd worked hard but gees he's a shite decision maker!

Votes for Strauss...is this the best six or the worst six?

I thought he had a terrible game.

I understand though that it's pretty hard to find six good players tonight.

Amazing how one week you could squeeze about 15 players in the votes, the next you struggle to find six decent performers.

Minus 100 votes to those on this forum who jump on and off the bandwagon depending on whether we win or lose! How can they say we are brilliant one week and rubbish the next. Patience ladies and gentlemen. Very young teams will suffer from inconsistency. We had one of our bad nights but support our boys don't rubbish them! 4 posters in the first half didn't help our cause either.

I nearly gave Strauss a vote. 21 possessions isn't too bad for a bloke who had a 'terrible game'.

For mine he lost one contest that I recall. Had 21 touches and hardly turned it over. Had one brain fade under pressure.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
