I don't care if we don't play finals, fixing up that mob is worth the membership price alone.19 points

Awesome, awesome win. Umpires did everything they could to make a game of it.19 points

The umpires tried to snatch it in the end, but no dice!! GREAT WIN! My takeaways: - I think we saw a rebirth for the team against the Lions. Great pressure for the whole game. Intense. Belief. - The kids are the future. Disco kicking big goals, McVee’s skills in the wet, Kozzie doing things only he can. Rivers continues to step up. Windsor had another cracker. Great vision and speed. Kolt, love his grit. - WITHOUT Trac and Gawn. No axtual ruck. This is our character. - The bombers are FRAUDS and CHEATS! I’m glad we helped to show them up and help them back down the ladder (although their soft draw will continue to help). - How good was Langdon? - How missed was Melksham?? Great night, always love beating these mugs. Only disappointment was not winning by 40+ but I can live that that. HERE WE COME!!!! 🔥💙❤️18 points

My hat goes off to Nibbler. Merritt could have been so damaging, but was kept reasonably quiet, particularly in the 2nd and 3rd quarters Nibbler's fitness and ability to put on pressure was immense17 points

That was bizarre umpiring in the last 5 minutes. For example the bombers throwing the ball all night and they pluck one out of nowhere against rivers.16 points

Can't believe Windsor is only two years older than me... So much class at just 19. All the youngsters looked amazing today!13 points

My only negative is that they subbed the wrong player off. How Bowey kept playing when AMW was actually playing well is beyond. Bowey is a huge worry for me moving forward alongside Petty and Sparrow. Judd McVee out marking Lance Whitnall was the highlight for me on too of many others of course. Kid is a serious talent.13 points

Collingwood lose, Carlton lose, Essendon lose and the mighty Demons WIN! It's the quintessential quadrella of quality. Woo hoo!12 points

Judd McVee could possibly be the most underrated player in the comp. Composure of the kid is unbelievable.12 points

It was unbelievably obvious tonight, just as it was against North a few weeks back. I don’t care what anyone says. The game is umpired completely different in the last 15 minutes of most games. It might not be intentional, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t happening. It’s glaringly obvious.12 points

I do not understand how that wasn’t a 50 to Lever at the end of the game, and I was going ballistic, and a security guard came over and told me to calm down, and everyone around us told him to [censored] off. And people say Melbourne supporters are soft. We look after our own.12 points

For those into good luck charms and superstitions, we’re 15-3-1 for Saturday night games since round 1 2021. Already 3-0 this year.12 points

So underrated. It looked to me like Scott started the game with his very tall forwards going up the ground to draw May and Lever with them, and destroy our defensive structure. And it worked. But Goody somehow turned it around, got our structure back on track, and we kept them to about 3 goals for the next 2 1/2 quarters, until the incredible effort told on our players. He covered the loss of Max by alternating relatively unknown "ruckmen" against Draper, and adjusting our centre square setup, so we held our own in clearances. And as happens so often, there players, who obviously love him, produced an extraordinary effort and showed the opposition up. A totally underrated coach.11 points

Judd mcvee is a 200 gamer right? Right?? He is an absolute star and seeing that [censored] stringer getting absolutely towelled up was just so amazing to see.11 points

Everyone calling for rain! I want it as dry as possible. Was a wet day the last time we played them and it didn't stop draper and phillips combining for 5 strong goals and killing us! They're in good form and it will be tough, but I'm loving the new look Dees. Hoping we can work on some better method out of the centre by necessity without Maxy. Team has grown so much in the last three weeks. Let that continue! Go Dees11 points

Every time I see him take off along that wing, I see Robbie Flower. The resemblance is astonishing.10 points

I feel all warm & fuzzy after that. A really young team who physically dominated a soft, poor Bummers. Too many things that I liked to type them all out, so 5 game points: The love between the players and coaches after the siren. Our gameplan with Max out. All hail the Lord Goodwin! All our young boys. Wow. Our back 6. Langdon & Windsor. Elite wing positional play and they annihilated much bigger opponents.10 points

Haven't seen Goody pumped up like that after a win for a while, happy for the man!10 points

My Wonderful wife's 50th birthday tonight. So it will probably Sunday lunchtime before I hunker down to watch the game. Go well Dee's. Got a feeling we might snag this one10 points

Melksham’s ACL and Maynard being a POS cost us a flag last year. Nobody will convince me otherwise.9 points

Thanks for putting the work in, Paul… Umm, he is doing great with the roles that the kids have been given. Rivers and Pickett are more expansive and they have levelled up, even McVee to an extent. But AMW, Kolt, Turner, Windsor, and JVR are just nailing the specific roles they have been given and it makes things smooth; less mistakes, less easy possessions for the oppo, better looks forward, and the whole team has been forced to trust them but they are up to it. At this point in this crazy year, I don’t know if we can make the finals - but if I can see this for 3 or 4 of the next 6 weeks this will not be a wasted year. Far from it. The last month has been really promising.9 points

I give up, have no effing idea what the rules of the game are. The umpiring is out of this world (or out of their rrrse)9 points

Win tonight and it's still going to be a tough road to make finals. Lose and it's almost impossible. As others have mentioned we're showing some really positive signs with our tackle pressure and forward connection (Roo is looking like a gun in the making imo). I'm cautiously optimistic about Petty and Turner tonight in the ruck. I think Roo should play forward 100%, as he's so critical to our structure. Melksham will play a big role in keeping the forwards functioning as a unit, and will be instrumental in us getting the best out of van Rooyen. Let's go Dees.9 points

At the game today, that Windsor goal was out-[censored]-rageous skill in those conditions, I doubt the TV replays will do it justice. Some other thoughts: Melksham has made such a difference that I'm starting to think his ACL might have cost us a flag. Disco Turner is kicking for my life no doubt about it. McVee is unbeatable. It was great to see Jake Lever so invested and celebrating appropriately on the siren. May is as stiff as a board but still playing great. And finally, 22 is an actual disgrace. I generally don't like to mention them but he deserves a special mention. Some of his decision making defied logic.8 points

AMW getting subbed off was purely about fitness. We had a lot of kids running on a very heavy track. I expected us to run out of gas to be honest. Did not help making the sub and then immediately losing Rivers for 10 minutes to a shoulder jab and strap. Also McVee running rings around Porky Stringer was delightful.8 points

this clear blue sky over the 3144 doesn't fill me with confidence i long for the ol 2.10pm game...train from malvern to richmond at 1.30pm, game at 2.10pm, back home by 5.45pm...8 points

Rather it be a rain and wet weather game. They're not a big contested based team and do rely on that outside game and overlap. Also brings their talls down a notch.8 points
