I love the hyperbole on here. If you listened to some, basically all of our listed players are either sub-standard, shocking, not up to it, past it, overpaid, overhyped, too slow, etc, etc, etc. That was a great team performance, everyone played well, no passengers. I guess perfection is the only legitimate standard for many. Dunstan and Weideman best for mine, and ALL the yet-to-debut boys were excellent.31 points

This is Admiral Nelson , ALL STOP ( All Stop Aye eye Admiral) Lee what do you make of it? Capt Crane. Not sure Admiral last thing I recall we seemed to be heading into some sort or vortex. A Vortex?? What is that?? Ah Come on Admiral ya know when ya empty the plug and it goes round in circles?? Admiral Nelson Ah Yes sorry I havent read this weeks script! Anyway thats the last thing I recall! Capt Crane it seems like a swamp of some description that we are in but wait lets crack the hatch and take a look Admiral Nelson, Lee what is it? Looks like we have landed in this swamp and near by is a playing field of some description, but Jeepers is it wet and boggy outside. Hang on some guy with no 38 on his back has just kicked a what looks like a Gridiron ball through 2 sticks and players are attacking him from all angles all wearing the same colors, but why Capt? Lets take a closer look eh Yes and please put it on your tricorder! Admiral this isn't Star Trek, its Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea!! Admiral Nelson. Oh yes I forgot .... Sorry Irwin... I mean Mr Allen! Hey Capt there;s a strange looking bloke coming towards us. PF Gday Harry, Lee yeah I know pretty wet but its been raining solid here for days. Look dont have time to explain but gotta get a report out for the tragics at Demonland, Come with me a see the action... Demonlanders had the pleasure of watching a very good complete DEESTROYATION Today at Casey Fields! Yep bloody boggy under foot but ground was pretty good. Here is my report, and rather than go through all players I'll just give some random thoughts LUKE DUNSTAN Clearly BOG he was not dissimilar to Clarry when on song and he just was the catalyst to an impressive win, for all the talk about his disposal I thought he was very good and kicked some ripper goals MITCH BROWN Wow what a strong performance lead well was clever , took some very strong grabs and kicked 5 goals great game DEAKYN SMITH Flashy , Fearless , and very good footy smarts played a great defensive game JACOB VAN ROOYEN bookmark this, Kid will be a STAR, still Raw , but as jack Dyer would say he is "Learning the caper well" and as Jack would further say.... "Has telescopic [censored] arms" LOL.. Took a great MOTD and converted but could easily have kicked a few more goals T.MAC would be pleased to get through unscathed and set up some nice plays and will only get better DANIEL TURNER, really solid performance and repelled many forward entries. WEEDS, Forced to ruck and did a pretty good job and was involved in some nice plays FRASER ROZMAN BEST game I have seen him play, linked up well and has a very penetrating kick on him ADAM T Very good game rebounded well and was very solid JOEL SMITH Got involved and created a target getting back to some good footy TOBY BEDFORD, Fine line between doing too much and getting caught and being brilliant, a few times overan it but got better as the game progressed TAJ WOWOEDIN Watch this space will become a very good player, courageous and smart ball user KADE CHANDLER Provided us with the goal of the day but doesn't quite do enough consistently finally speacial mention to 2 Casey Players JAMES MUNRO and GEORGE GRAY, CAN BOTH PLAY and are the barometers for this team, also MATT BUNTINE calm and Composed. Thats about it Gotta Go the SEAVIEW is about to be attacked by a GIANT SWAMP CREATURE. GO DEES P.F21 points

Maybe I'm the world's worst judge but I think Weideman has been absolutely outstanding in this game. He has taken on two experienced campaigners in Ladhams and Sinclair and destroyed them. At ground level they haven't got near him. Must have a big tank as he has rucked throughout the day. This is his role. Back up ruck pinch hitting forward and back as required. Impressive.11 points

What are you on about he was a regular for GWS in 2019, played almost every game and was one of their better players in the grand final loss. He’s no superstar but don’t make stuff up10 points

I have been hearing the same story for 30 years at the AGM. From Ridley to Bartlett through the years, the same story. And now we are hearing the same again. Two years ago Pert and Bartlett said we would have an answer in 12 months. 1 year later we are told they can't say anything under government instructions. Something coming, something being negotiated. Caulfield, Elsternwick Park, Junction oval, even digging up Yarra Park. All have come to nothing. Dogs another $30M to redevelop. Richmond $65M to redevelop, Hawthorn $120M to build, Adelaide similar: https://www.afc.com.au/news/1206857/new-facility-update ..and these are clubs with existing training and admin facilities.10 points

So happy to read this from the coach about Sam: “All credit to him – he was given a different role during the week and to come out and impact the game that way, he had 10 hit-outs to advantage, was outstanding,” Corrigan said. “Also his ability to help around the ground, get after it, his ability to change his role within the team was influential.”9 points

If Kate and her connections and past achievements in this space can't get a government announcement then I doubt if anyone can.9 points

Howes looks very clean below his knees but doesn't get much of the pill Probably one of those players who would be well with the added space at afl level8 points

Chris was effusive about JVR but he didn’t stop there. He loves them all including young Howes, Laurie, the son of Woewodin and watch out for “Wakefield” (sic) an Aboriginal from “Alice Springs*”. I was driving south down the Monash Freeway when I heard him waxing so lyrically about our young talent that fair dinkum, I missed the turnoff at Wellington Road. None of these blokes has played a single AFL game yet but he had me convinced that they all were strong candidates for next year’s All Australian honours and well on the way to induction in a future Hall of Fame. Rejoice Demon fans! * I have little doubt that Chris from Camberwell is the font of all knowledge on matters Melbourne but he did have me scurrying to Professor Google for a fact check on Andy Moniz-Wakefield and all that I could find about his origins was that he was recruited from Nightcliff, a team that’s located in Darwin which is more or less 1,290 kilometres (802 miles) away from Alice Springs but I suppose that’s close enough for a program styled “Midday Madness”.7 points

I said I'd never heard of it. And then I told him I was just joking and that I started it. It's actually a little bit embarrassing but he was then treating me like I was a celebrity. I had to leave but my wife told me that for the rest of the day he kept saying that he couldn't believe he was in Demonland HQ. He still charged me though so there's that. So much for being a celebrity if there are no perks.7 points

Can I just say kudos to Jason Bennett who has called many women's games over the past few days and called our game today.6 points

Is this a stock standard Dunstan VFL game, because he’s been very impressive. Should be playing AFL for someone.6 points

Probably won’t please those with the ‘Weidicide’ agenda but Campbell Brown on 7 suggested with ‘Jacko’ apparently about to deecamp. A vacancy ‘may’ exist for a backup ruckman/forward. Given Weed has battled manfully against two AFL hardened opposition ruck men and performed competatively. Maybe there is a crack of light at the end of the tunnel. .6 points

Unfortunately he can't kick like Shai Bolton. But seriously Bedford is nowhere near as polished as Bolton. Can't question his endeavour though.6 points

McDonald just showed why is an important plyer in the senior structure. The high half forward mark and wheel and go kick inside 50’to a lead. Superb6 points

Chandler hasn't been given a block of 4 AFL games like Bedford. At VFL level, Chandler has shown a better skillset than Bedford, but Bedford has shown a bit of X Factor at AFL level. It's line ball IMO. With most required players re-signed for next year, and Hibberd, Hunt and Melksham likely to get another contract, we need to move on some fringe players. Players like Bedford and Tomlinson have some currency.6 points

Essendon reportedly are also interested. Ess lost Tippa during the year and GWS looks set to lose Bobby Hill. At either club he will quickly be in the starting 22 as neither are blessed with small fwds. We can't give him a starting 22 spot as our list and selections currently stand. While one report said 'the demons won't let him go lightly', I doubt we will stand in his way.6 points

I think that was the best win in our history. And we’ve had some great wins. To beat the reigning premiers on their patch and to beat them at their own game is just phenomenal. I’m delighted with that performance.6 points

Would prefer to keep Bedford. We seem to have depth but if we lost Kozzi to an injury, Toby is the obvious replacement. Has shown a lot more than Chandler at afl level5 points

So what was the 12 months plan? How about explaining where it was to be and why it failed. Being told nothing is pretty poor, especially from a Board that won’t let anyone else who might be able to help, get onto it. This is a discreet issue that has we have been trying to solve for decades. What is the current situation?5 points

That game was brutal. Adelaide are a tough side but we had their measure for much of the night. Eliza West has the build of Brian Wilson and plays a lot like him too. Liv Purcell and her were terrific in the middle.5 points

Toorak Park about to undergo major redevelopment. I know we explored this as a potential site many years ago. The boys even had a. Open training there, which was a huge success. Looks like the insistence to be next to the MCG May have seen another lost opportunity. I’ve always been of the view that Toorak Park would have been ideal. People bemoaned the lack of parking. It couldn’t be any worse than Goschs. There is a railway next door and two tram lines. Might be the one that got away5 points
