Jack Trengove re-injures his navicular (2014) - trade deal off

Noooo Way!

Roos has said he doesn't want more than a few kids in the draft so why would he want another pick!! Give up an experienced player for another 'kid'. You would think we have enough trade power with 2 and 3 to get an experienced player.

Can't see any logic to it all!

Know doubt we have something in mind to use pick 12 with something else to get another trade done. If it was used as part of another pick to get someone like Shiel / Treloar, would you take it?

The ONLY thing that comes to mind is that we have something else cooking and we want another first round pick to get the ball rolling on that other deal. To me the deal as a whole doesn't serve any other purpose.

What? On the face of it this seems ludicrous. For pick 12 maybe, but this is a number 2 draft pick that we've put 5 years of development into and who undoubtedly has his best footy ahead of him.

I can only think that there's something else in play here. Either his foot injury is much worse than we think, or there's another player we're targeting that we need pick 12 for. According to the article it's not like he's requested the trade either.

Never would we do it.

Not Puzzles surely.

Unless this is part of some elaborate and secretive three-way trade intended to snare Dangerfield, I call BS.

I hope BS.

Trengove NEEDS a pre-season. He NEEDS to be injury free. And he NEEDS to play under Roos for us to see him shine.

I would give P-2 & P-12 for Shiel & say Devon Smith, but I don't see the getting rid of Trenners as the way forward. I don't like this bit.

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
