Now all the crud is aired I think the next 4 weeks will be interesting on coaches/staff moves.

Hopefully a less defensive game plan is one of the gripes of a max and Trac

Phew! What a relief!

I am glad Christian Petracca is staying a Demon.

He is one of my favourite players.

I hope he enjoys his time off and goes on an enjoyable holiday and possibly visits the Redbull Fitness Centre again (if he wishes to?).

Staying a ONE Club player will also earn him respect in the AFL.

As for Tom Morris....I won't hold my breath waiting for an apology. He is made to look quite a fool now!

Far out, some of you are pathetic. He doesn’t speak, you go after him, he does speak, oh that’s not good enough. Things needed to change and hopefully things are in motion.
I’m glad he’s rattled a few cages. A lot of the stuff in the media could be full of [censored]. I mean how many times are they wrong. Here’s a prime example

Yeah well for what its worth I'd still want him OUT he's read the room saw that his "PREFERRED " Clubs could'nt get a trade done, stuff him he goes,!! And ROFFEY And others can go as well

Perhaps he’s waiting for next year when Collingwood have a first round draft pick in the top5

Id like to think he was sitting at home, after making a nice meal that takes far too much energy to  make, and hes listening to some music and spotify puts on 'Roxette - Listen to Your Heart', and he stops and he just thinks about the red and the blue and that has made the decision.. and that's the only reason he makes this decision and not the fact a trade couldnt be made. Again as per previous post, i have had a few drinks.

Hahah was hoping somebody would do one do these for Petracca, still remember the one for Jesse Hogan!

I unfollowed his cooking instagram and an hour later he re-committed himself to the club. You’re all welcome, I’m gonna follow it again now.

Thank Christ

WTF

Reminds me of when I was kid and refused to go back to school at the end of holidays because I hated the nuns. My dad said I will go back. The next day I went back to school. I had no choice.

Don't think he's going to be in any state to be doing that. If he can run laps by Christmas we'll be doing well ... though I know nothing of his fitness.

Hey mods. Can we close this page soon? The story is over. The betrayal of Christian Petracca by so many on her is offensive.

Not thinking he's a sponsor ... just sayin'

Oh no another load media of bulldust bites the dust......interesting that the Club’s toxic culture allows frank discussion of all opinions and views......maybe Demonland could take a leaf

I was quietly confident he would stay. In no way does this excuse certain areas of the Club

I still think we Members should expect a full independent review of the entire Club

Fix things up…

Of course, it’s not the backline, you might argue and you would probably be right. It’s the boot studder (do they still have them?), the midfield, the recruiting staff, the forward line, the kicking coach, the Board, the interchange bench, the supporters, the folk at Casey, the head coach and the club psychologist  It’s all of them and all of us for having expectations that were sufficiently high to have believed three weeks ago that a restoration of the Melbourne team to a position where we might still be in contention for a finals berth when the time for the midseason bye arrived. Now let’s look at what happened over the period of time since Melbourne overwhelmed the Sydney Swans at the MCG in late May when it kicked 8.2 to 5.3 in the final quarter (and that was after scoring 3.8 to two straight goals in the second term).

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.

The Demons have the Bye next week but then are on the road once again when they come up against the Gold Coast Suns on the Gold Coast in what could be a last ditch effort to salvage their season. Who comes in and who comes out?

The Demons simply did not take their opportunities when they presented themselves and ultimately when down by 25 points effectively ending their finals chances. Goal kicking practice during the Bye?
