  1. Unfortunately Casey in for an almighty thumping this week. 😕
  2. Who plays wing? Hunter completely out of favour.
  3. Does Fullarton play? No vision of him with the group being cheered for his first game. Personally I hope it's Tomlinson.
  4. Yes but that was four years ago. He has developed as a good player. Also his time forward was a very small sample size. Verrell has shown a bit in the ruck but nothing up forward. Fullarton has shown something up forward but nothing in the ruck. I would be very loathe to risk Petty. Having said all that can't see Tomlinson being selected. His card is marked.
  5. I'm all in on giving Tomlinson a try up forward. We know he can ruck. Neither Turner or JVR setting the world on fire atm. One of either Verrell or Fullarton might be selected but VFL form for both has been moderate and I believe doesn't warrant being chosen. For me nothing to lose by trying Tomlinson in the front half. He may well surprise. Unfortunately, for some reason, his card is marked and it is unlikely to happen.
  6. If Salem is fit he should play off half back. Very good in the midfield against Hawthorn but may lack the fitness atm. Love to see Rivers unleashed in there. Reckon he has a huge upside and will allow Trac to float forward regularly. Bpwey will be better fir the run.
  7. I know it won't happen but is it worth trying Tomlinson up forward and as relieving ruck? Turner has gone from black to forward. If my memory serves correctly Tomlinson played some time forward for the Giants. Arguably Casey's best player this year. For mine nothing to lose and he might surprise. Waiting to be shot down!
  8. Hearing from a moderately reliable source that JVR has entered concussion protocols and will miss the Eagles game. Apparently on 9 news?
  9. Do you know what I was thinking exactly the same thing but not brave enough to post! Superb tonight, consistent performer and very good user. Surprised to see he is only 28. We could do a lot worse.
  10. I'll respectfully agree to disagree. Just got a really hard ball get at a crucial time. Won't be surprised at all if he's on the plane next week.
  11. Really? Just about Casey's best for me.
  12. Hunter very good. Does BBB come in for Turner? Should have kicked 6+!!
  13. Tholstrup worth another try against the Eagles. Home state, family in attendance, probable good conditions and potentially a weaker opponent. His debut was a baptism of fire against the Lions. Chandler needs a rest.
  14. Superb goal by Tholstrup in greasy conditions.
  15. Tough loss to take but I honestly believe there are more positives to take away. Would like to think it could be a turning point in our season. Would have been easy to 'turn up the toes' and cop a hiding.Despite the despicable 5 day break we were full of running and endeavour. Obviously Petracca was outstanding but most others will improve even if it's marginally. I reckon we will win a minimum 5 of the next seven games and go from there. Our draw is reasonably favourable. Stay healthy and I'm confident. Finally, perhaps a bonus of being mid top 8 for awhile could be that we'll fly under the radar for a bit. Good spot to be.
  16. Salem should ready after another 10 days to recover.
  17. Forgot about McAdam. Presuming he plays tomorrow night and plays reasonably well in the VFL he HAS to come in and play in Perth. Our forward line is screaming out for an 'X factor' and this bloke could well be the answer! I'll be watching with interest.
  18. I've been a supporter of Turner and he has a bright future. Fullarton had a very good game against Port Melbourne a few weeks ago and has been moderate since. If he plays well tomorrow night I would promote him for Disco who needs to regain some confidence at Casey. If Fullarton plays it would mean JVR could stay at home and hopefully build confidence against the Eagles. Chandler clearly playing injured. Give him a rest. I'm also in the AMW camp. He looks classy. If Tholstrup has a cracker tomorrow he might be considered.
  19. There are always isolated examples. I can guarantee that over a long period with teams that swing the changes more often than not lose. Also, making multiple changes early in the season is a different beast to mid season. All teams crave continuity. Having said all that who knows? Hoping for the best!
