What a shame we didn't take our chances.

We are still in it.

Billings off. Laurie on. Come on Goody make a change.

you're ready to start bashing goodwin because the players are missing regulation set shots.

i know you don't like goodwin but this is 100% on the players

The Goody bashing is beyond tiresome

Mate coaches have to develop players, it's been 3 years of the same BS. If it's just the players then why don't we do a better recruiting and bring some quality kicks.

That’s huge. As Billings is a liability.

Will that knee to Gawns head get looked at.  It bloody well should !!!

Inability to take our chances in high pressure games is a serious trend.

I think less time making funny content for the gram, more kicking practice and a real forward coach. Goalkicking will cost us this.

Agree this is on the players but Goodwin has still butchered this list with his outdated game plan

Geelong played all over us in that last 15 mins. They will win easy.

Expected score...

Melbourne - 67

Geelong - 36

How depressing.

5.14 Folks.
We are a hard forken watch.
Does my head in.

My kingdom for a KF who can clunk the odd pack mark and kick straight or around the corner goals like shelling peas

Are you allowed to knee someone in the head in the ruck? You’re not marking the ball

They’re going through the middle too easily now. Rohan coming on for them has had a big impact

I do feel we've spent a lot of petrol tickets but it is still a game and we're in it.

Our defence is terrible at times

We can't kick straight.  That's more of a problem than our defence

The Demons return to town fresh off a thumping win over the back-to-back wooden spooners, the West Coast Eagles, played in front of a sparse crowd at Marvel Stadium, the same venue that hosted last week's heartbreaking loss.

  • PREVIEW: West Coast

It was bad enough that the Melbourne Football Club created yet another humiliating scenario inside its wretched season at Marvel Stadium last Sunday, but the final insult is that it has been commanded to return to the scene of the crime to inflict further punishment on its fans this week. Incidentally, if this match preview, of a game that promises to be one of the most unattractive fixtures in the history of the game, happens to cut out of your computer screen three quarters of the way through, it’s no coincidence. I’ll be mirroring the Demons’ lacklustre effort against St Kilda from last Sunday when they conceded the largest last quarter turnaround for victory in the history of the game.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.
