the narrative that there are cultural problems will only get louder in the media... and then chuckle at the inanity of linking those two things together.

Its only Round 1

Make me even more paranoid about playing against recent ex-team mates.  My mind goes into overdrive thinking about all the insider intel these players can use against us! We all have weird superstitions and this is one of mine.

We should have a ritual execution of one of the players drawn by lot. This should happen for each loss. That will get results.

Move on to next week.

That it is time for dessert.

Ooh, helpful thread. I should go buy something ready for dessert after the game.

it was rigged for the Swans 150th anniversary to start with a win.

Depends on the loss.

If we lose a highly entertaining game where we've had the lead in the last quarter, kick accurately and our inside 50 entries have improved from last year, then I'll just write it down as bad luck and we'll bounce back next week.

If we get done by 7+ goals and kick an atrocious 7.17, followed by the draw from hell to start the year, then valid questions will be asked. Posters should be entitled to express their concerns and disappointment under this scenario.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
