Welcome to Demonland Caleb Windsor

Imagine Caleb's face if he read this and saw people comparing him to Robbie Flower...reckon he'd like that a bit!

Outside of Harley Reid (who is a very different player) I reckon we got the best pick of the draft with him.

He has more pace than Robbie and is taller but he has a long way to go to be as good, maybe when he has played over 200 games we can then say Caleb Windsor was a great player in the mould of Robbie Flower.

He plays a lot shorter than Flower though. Flowers’s marking prowess looks to have been underrated based on what I’ve seen (too young to have seen him live).

Been trying to keep the lid on, but this kid is a freak, simply going to be an enormous star, and he DOES remind me of Robbie more than anyone. (There, I’ve said it).

Exciting young player. It’s like seeing Oliver and Petracca in their first year and realising that they are special players.
Windsor is a lightly built player who will take a lot of physical punishment from opponents. He is going to be physically tested every game. He might be tough but it will take its toll as the season progresses. So I hope that he can be rested and managed from a long term perspective because we don’t want to see his progress impeded by serious injury or simply wear and tear.
Let’s hope we can look after him because at this rate he is going to attract the attention of all the big cashed up Victorian Clubs. He will be another Oliver and Petracca.

A question for the Demonland brains trust, as Caleb develops does he have the tools to play in the middle, aka Butters or Rozee? or is he too slight...

I think he does. He is actually quite similar in size to what Rozee was in his first season.

Robbie was a great mark, Chook. He could take a ride for a screamer, and dive to take marks or one-handers that nobody else would. Knew to never get involved in a body contest, cos didn’t have the body-work skills of say, Fritta (similar build). I’m resuming my judgment on Caleb’s overhead skills just yet, only cos hasn’t been presented yet. Would complete the picture, no doubt.

Definitely has the hands and decision making in tight, so he will be a centre bounce player when he gets enough muscle.

What makes you think we are not a cashed up big Bic Club at the end of 2024. ? Enough to hold Caleb for his first 5/6 years.

Caleb was born 18 years after Robbie retired!

He is more likely to say "Who the hell is Robbie Flower?" 😅

Early days but you could be right! The 2023 Draft class is starting to look like a promising bunch.

Read and Walter are future guns for GC/the team they head to after there contract runs out.

Wilson, Sanders, Reid, And Watson are all having impact already!

Duursma and Mckercher look very promising too. The difference is Caleb gets to slot into a very consistent and high preforming 22. The poor Roos kids are stuck in an absolute rabble. Reminds me of what we did to Scully & Trenners.

Having said all that, Caleb at pick 7 is looking like an absolute steal! Now bring on the Kolt!

I was not suggesting anything mate. Only that he will attract  attention from other clubs. Hopefully we will be able to look after him financially. What do you think?

Caleb has been really good and I really like him as a player, but the hype on here (and elsewhere) is astronomical IMO.

Believe the hype. The kid is the real deal.
His stats playing wing tonight were insane

Should get the rising star nom this week.  There is a bit of Sam Walsh about this kid. He’s going to be the inside outside player we have been waiting for. Might take him another 1-2 years of weights but he’ll be another gun.

We’ve been blessed to see Clayton Oliver come through as a phenom. But this kid excites me even more. He simply has it all, and I cannot see a weakness in his game.

That is high praise and will hopefully turn out to be spot on.

He is hitting the scoreboard, should have had 2 tonight, possibly 3, give the 3 points. He also beat (was it?) Cameron on the wing in a 1v1 at one point.

A very good game again.

GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne

It's Game Day and it very well could be the last roll of the dice for the Demon's finals aspirations in 2024. A loss to the bottom side would be another embarrassing moment in a cursed year for the Dees whilst a win could be the spark they need to reignite the fire in the belly.

    THE HUNTER by The Oracle

Something struck me as I sat on the couch watching the tragedy of North Melbourne’s attempt to beat Collingwood unfold on Sunday afternoon at the MCG.    It was three quarter time, the scoreboard had the Pies on 12.7.79, a respectable 63.16% in terms of goal kicking ratio. Meanwhile, the Roos’ 18.2.110 was off the charts at 90.00% shooting accuracy. I was thinking at the same time of Melbourne’s final score only six days before, a woeful 6.15.51 or 28.57% against Collingwood’s 14.5.89

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res
