Yze replacement

Surely the club could have named someone by now. They would have known ooze would depart when hardware resigned.

Unless we are being discrete because we are aiming to bring in someone from one of the Grand Final teams.

Obviously Leppitsch from Collingwood would be a premium (premier?) acquisition.

Cameron Bruce, midfield and stoppages at Brisbane, would also seem likely to be on the radar.

Separately, there might be a case to target Collingwood's head of performance, Jarrod Wade. Not only has he got the team playing out games superbly, but with NINE players aged 30 or over, he's had almost all of them play the full season.

Sidebottom hurt a knee medial, Howe broke an arm, and Mason Cox had a recto-cranial impaction.

So of nine players over 30, only Sidebottom's injury could even be partially considered conditioning related, and they've all been playing good, mobile football.

Yes but the Tigers passed on him as their future head coach so he might have his limitations

And there are quite a few head coaches that are on the boundary now so we may be looking at all the chief assistants that are upstairs

So how many head coaches are boundary-side now?

How many roles did Yze miss out on prior to this?

Don't know but Robert Harvey might have set the record for interviews

In terms of walking into the cushiest coaching job, Chris Scott would have to be in front of the rest

Craig McRae inherited a good list too.  And Roos set things up in a reasonably good way for Goodwin

Going right back, Big Nick taking over from Barassi?

I would promote either Chaplin or Williams as the senior assistant and bring in a junior coach along with another development coach. If not Bassett or Blakey would do me fine.

Not enough love here for our own Mick Stinnear. He definitely deserves a shot as an assistant with the boys. Incredible what he's done with the girls team

After Saturdays win I would throw the kitchen sink at Leppitch he was responsible for the set ups Saturday as stated by McRae and add  the promise he would become our next Senior coach  it seems the Richmond style is successful look at GWS and Collingwood also lure Neville Jetta back

Leppitch is definitely someone who I think would be a heap better in his second shot at head coaching.

James Harmes at the TAB Spring Fling says new Tigers coach Adem Yze is all about offence, taking the ball through the corridor. Says Simon Goodwin even had to hold him back at times.

Yze needed to push this more !! Dees went too wide and too slow during most games. Hopefully the replacement can convince Goodwin how to best attack into forward 50 !!!

Interesting if true

We did this a lot during pre-season. After about 6 or 7 rounds we went back to our old ways with Goodwin (presumably) not happy with how we can defend a turnover in the corridor.

We became tired old melbourne, kick to the left, down the line, force a stoppage, kick a point.

CHanges are needed. And its not just the Assistant by the sounds of things.

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
