TURN THE TV OFF. IT DIDNT HAPPEN.

that's my mindset.

Likewise, the AFL bean counters got their way, again.

Well that is a lesson to the dees in how to shut the game down in the last three minutes. Giants (like us) we’re the better team for most of the game but you’ve got to respect that last 3 mins. It was clinical.

Yep.
Time and again they close it down with mauling ball ups.

A week of dictatorship in the city of Melbourne coming right up.

Bloke!

I remember the 2021 lead in, seeing all the amazing artwork for the Dees and feeling left out and a bit sad , living as I do up in the northern rivers. But this week, thank Christ I am not in Collingbourne. Intolerable.

Oh well, at least we get to watch collingwood lose a grand final...

I won't be watching.
Just like I wasn't watching last time they lost a GF.

6 day break. Shocking fixturing.
Umpires missed several.
if only Toby hit the scoreboard with his snap.
Gallant effort.

Stupid me was successful in getting a gf ticket in the mcc ballot.

Instead of seeing Melbourne I now have to see them. Ugh

I’m working from home all of next week. That way I won’t be hit in the face by black and white balloons and have to look at Herald Sun posters of that despicable team every day at work.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
