Melksham. Again no impact.

Two on the trot.

He's simply on or off and never the twain shall meet for some reason.

Bowey had a Barry Crocker.

Just about his worst game.

That said, that free that was paid against him in the marking contest was a howler.

That sort of grappling happens a 100 times a match. And when they mark it they hardly ever pay it.

But sure, ok pay it.

Then how do you not pay maxy, Grundy and jvr frees for being mauled all game?

I am beyond angry with the umpiring last night. Forget tge result, but it was simply nuts hoe many cleat holding the ball frees were not paid - for both sides, but we copped it worse.

Umpires - absolute [censored] cheats

I thought Ray in particular had a howler in the last Q...

It's ok to let the game go in a finals type tight game (maybe).

...but to not pay the sling against Riv (luckily it was picked up by another ump) and JVR having his legs taken out.

Please.....

Salem - performance lacked urgency

Agree. He and Bowey were not good.  When I look at the runners from half back and run and carry , both Bowey and Salem need to do much better.

People who criticise Melksham need to remember he's often playing on mutch taller opponents

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
