I reckon it is between Bontempelli and Daicos. Dawson from the Crows is a possible smokey. I suppose Neale also has a chance but he had a big potion of the season in unusually average form.

I can't see Trac winning it. He will receive a lot of 1 or 2 votes. He will lose votes to Oliver (early in the season) and Viney (who has been our best player IMO).

Taranto has had a very, very good year but not Brownlow worthy.

This year is his chance with Clarry out for so long however I think Viney has had a better year thank Petracca.

I think champion data or someone had Trac sitting 4-5 votes behind Daicos going into the last 2 rounds, you'd imagine he didn't poll last week so 3 votes this week is his only chance. I think its between Daicos and Butters.

Any chance Christian Petracca might win the 2023 Brownlow Medal on Monday evening?

He should finish in the top 5 at least?

I stuck some on him at the season start. He’ll go close. I think win or close second

I would love Tracca to win but wonder if his interactions with the umpires may preclude him from the number of 3’s he should get down to a 2 or 1’s. He had a ripper year most disposals, most score assists but failed on scoreboard pressure. I would be horrified if he isn’t top 3-5. He had a better year than the Bont and Clayton was out for 10 weeks.!!

He shouldn't win it based on his kicking lately

He really needs to work on this in the off season, sometimes he goes for the harder option which in turn opens up the play in our favour but he has been shanking alot of them this season. His set shots you can see the stress in his face and his gone from a great kick for goal to average. That calming work he does isn't working IMO

Daicos is already pencilled in if you believe Gil's hints on the Front Bar last night.

I would advise any Demon who doesn't want to have a horror experience to not tune in to chanel 7 for the next 2 weeks.

Gil wanted to go out with a bang and that's what he's getting, by hook or by crook.

A big stinking discusting dirty filthy black & white bang.

Tracs round 24 game V Sydney was brilliant. He essentially turned the game off his own boot.

Im expecting that game will get him within 1-2 votes of the winner.

With the luck the demons have had in the last month. He will be leading with two rounds to go and lose by one vote

Never happier to ignore all AFL related content since we lost last Friday.

Based on the comments about tonight's game, it looks very scripted doesn't it?

Just waiting for the off season and draft.

Tbh I feel like we never took a stand about Maynard sniping one of our best mids to get an advantage. Just thinking about it makes me upset. I wish the club took some kind of stand. Maybe abandon the Brownlow. Empty table. Petracca win it and not be anywhere. [censored] them. But melodramatic but so what

I would admire the club very much if they tell both the AFL and the media to [censored] off and have an empty table on Brownlow night.

But we both know it's not gonna happen, the club and the competition as a whole is very corporate aligned.

But I will be happy if next time we face the thug and his mob, as I have said numerous times on Demonlad, May decks him hard (footy act of course).

Bont.

I think Bont is a good thing. No stand outs this year. Oliver has been the standout best player in the league the past couple of years. However, Injury hampered him his year, as it did Daicos.

I agree

we allowed the media to defend him and made it about Maynard, as did gleeson

I emailed Kate Roffey about it as I think it was really disappointing

It’s actually making me rethink my membership next year

can you imagine Collingwood’s response had Greene knocked out Daicos?

I put 100 on Tracc at 6s. I think he might pinch it by a vote.

Flopcos misses 6 weeks and the Bont plays in a [censored] side that lost half their games.

The big worry is Butters.

Bont has to be the favourite.   Stood out for the Dogs.  Likely 27 votes.

Daicos gets 25-26 votes.

Trac might end up around 23-24 depending on how they give him votes.  Should poll in 10-11 games at least so a big chance if he gets the 2s and 3s

Bont is such a big name and presence on the ground now that the umps are just going to give him the 3 votes if there’s any doubt between the 3, 2 and 1. I think this is what gets him over the line. Heaps of 3’s. Frankly he deserves the medal - what a superstar over such a long period now. Has been the best performed player in the AFL over the past half decade. Bona fide Champion. 🏅

That's what some of the media said. Why didn't Pert or even Roffey come out and say something after the Maynard decision.

Silence.

Agree. Given the horror show of our last  month I somehow expect Nick Daicos to get 3 votes in our game against Sydney.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #30 Harry Sharp

The Demons acquired an interesting player in Sharp, who narrowly missed securing a spot in the Lions’ premiership team last year. The 22-year-old medium forward played in the opening round this season and ended up with 18 senior games, although he was substituted in or out in for ten of those matches. He demonstrated glimpses of form, but ultimately ended the year on the margins of the team.

Worked his way back after a slow start and a further slump in form going into the midseason but became a solid contributor for the club in the latter half of 2025. Closing in on 300 goals for the club.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Gold Coast

On Friday, the Demons return to our Casey Fields fortress where they have a 77% win rate. The scent of September is in the air and the struggling Suns are on the horizon. The Cranbourne weather forecast? Ominous, like the match itself: a strong chance of carnage. Let’s be honest, last week’s first half against the West Coast was a training drill but we dropped our guard in the final quarter. While this match is a mismatch on paper — second versus seventeenth — football is won in the wind, the contests, and the moments.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #32 Tom Sparrow

The rugged Sparrow’s career appears to have plateaued in recent years. He makes the side on a week to week basis but he is unable to establish a foothold in the team’s midfield and arguably performs best outside of the contest in a forward position without being a goal kicker. He remains a good honest foot soldier but is not a star.

Fullarton managed a couple of games in the first half of the season but soon found himself back in the VFL. There, he found a niche at centre half back but it was not enough to retain a place on the list at season’s end.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #35 Harrison Petty

Entering 2025, it looked as if Petty would be secured in a defensive position, but plans shifted and he spent more time forward, averaging just over a goal per game throughout the season. It remains uncertain which area of the ground he will be expected to cover under the new coaching regime.
